The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team:

Role Overview:

We're looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced, changing environment. As the Director of Logistics Systems Architecture & Data Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust logistics systems while harnessing the power of data analytics to drive operational efficiencies and cost savings. This role requires a forward-thinking leader with expertise in systems architecture, project management and data analysis within the aerospace and / or manufacturing industry.

What You Will Do:

  • Logistics System Architecture: Lead the design and implementation of logistics systems, including Transportation Management Systema (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and data repositories. Manage project scope, business case development, external market analysis, and risk assessments throughout the system implementation lifecycle. Lead the technology selection process, ensuring alignment with business objectives and future growth requirements.

  • Process Design and Standardization: Drive process design and standardization to streamline logistics operations and enhance system interoperability. Develop post-implementation governance framework to ensure ongoing system utilization and adherence to standard operating procedures.

  • Data Analysis and Business Intelligence: Collaborate with business units to gather and analyze global transportation, distribution, and material master data. Lead the data cleansing and validation efforts to ensure data integrity and reliability. Develop a centralized data repository and implement analytics and modeling techniques to drive actionable insights from logistics data.

  • Reporting: Generate comprehensive spend / savings reports to track logistics performance against key metrics. Support ad hoc analysis request from business units, providing timely and accurate insights to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Team Leadership: Provide mentorship, guidance, and leadership to a team of sourcing professionals across multiple business units, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

  • Travel up to 5% domestically.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically minimum of 14+ years of experience in logistics, systems architecture, project management, and data analytics and a Bachelor's degree; Advanced degree and 12+ years related work experience

  • Experience with Databases & Logistics Systems

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with Project management, Change management, & Transition management

  • Demonstration of strategic development and vision

  • Ability to partner with Finance to develop strong business cases

  • Experience in a global organization

  • Experience with Regulatory & ITC compliance

  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex system implementation projects, from conception to post-implementation governance.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels of an organization, as well as the ability to manage cross-functional / cross-business unit teams.

  • Travel Domestically

  • Advanced Degree

Education Requirements:

Typically a bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related discipline.

The salary range for this role is 171,000 USD - 343,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
