The Director for Employer Outreach and Connections will lead the Center for Career & Professional Development's efforts in engaging employers and community organizations to develop a range of opportunities for Lehigh students and Alumni to gain experience and employment. The Director is responsible for new employer outreach, including soliciting new employers, building the employer pipeline, managing key employer relationships and creating opportunities for employers to connect with Lehigh students and Alumni. The Director serves on the Center's leadership team and participates in developing strategic plans, goals and initiatives. The Director develops relationships with employers and Alumni, manages high-impact student programming such as the annual Career Expo, collaborates with colleagues across campus and works on a fast-paced, innovative team. The Director should demonstrate a commitment to innovation and risk-taking across all accountabilities.

Accountabilities:

  • Strategic planning and program management

  • With the Senior Director, set the strategic vision for the employer outreach strategy and lead all staff in developing and implementing shared strategic priorities; monitor and report progress toward strategic goals and objectives

  • Provides leadership for the design, implementation and assessment of the Center's employer outreach plan

  • Lead the comprehensive outreach strategy to ensure that employers and student needs are met through recruiting efforts with Center for Career & Professional Development and to ensure that students have access to relevant and timely recruiting programs and opportunities

  • Strategic outreach and relationship development

  • Create and execute the Center's employer outreach strategy to increase employment connections

  • Develop pipeline strategy to attract new and inactive employers for partnerships in on-campus recruiting, workshops and presentations; with end goal of generating employment connections

  • Plan and manage the on-campus recruiting program necessary to expand internship and employment opportunities for students ensuring a mutually beneficial experience for students and employers

  • Coordinate efforts with campus partners to ensure efficient relationship management and development with employers and community members

  • Develop and maintain employer relationships and work actively to promote on-campus and remote recruitment of students by desirable employers in accordance with employer and experiential development plan

  • Coordinate and implement outreach to active employers in line with strategy

  • Work with employer partners to create a baseline of Alumni within a given firm and discuss how to strengthen the recruitment pipeline and identify additional recruitment opportunities

  • Participate in various local, state, regional and national organizations to increase internship and employment opportunities for students

  • Assist employers in building their brands on campus in collaboration with the recruiting Coordinator; advise employers on marketing strategies and set expectations about number of student applicants per job and internship postings(s), event participation and student involvement; ensure adequate and creative marketing of employer postings and events

  • Communicate employer feedback about student readiness and industry recruiting trends to faculty, campus partners and the Center for Career & Professional Development Team

  • Evaluate employer and student recruiting policies in accordance with professional association standards (NACE); communicate policies to students and employers

  • Steward existing employers through recruitment lifecycle including in person, electronic and phone communication in alignment with employer development plan

  • Partner program assessment

  • Establish metrics, track engagement and outcome levels to determine progress of employer engagement; prepare monthly statistical reports regarding job and internship postings and outreach activity metrics

  • Regularly conduct gap analysis of employer and experiential development program and on-campus recruiting efforts based on benchmark data and create reports outlining improvement plans; implement initiatives to address any potential gaps

  • Assist with administering the CRM platform to perform the various stages of recruiting, posting jobs, pre-screening applicants and tracking student/graduate progression

  • Keep thorough records of all recruitment activity including reporting and tracking student applicant data

  • Project management and administrative duties

  • Lead the planning and execution of two annual career expos to connect students and employers; responsibile for all logistics and budgetary planning

  • Provide leadership for coordination of special programs and projects in line with strategic planning process of the Career Center

  • Serve on various cross-functional teams to promote the vision and direction of the Career Center; contribute to the strategic planning in order to evolve center services and programs

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Counseling or related degree

  • Five to eight years related work experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent writing ability and organizational skills

  • Solid analytical, decision making and problem solving skills

  • Solid presentation skills

  • Solid computer skills with experience using word processing and spreadsheet software

  • Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, county and national criminal background checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance. Based upon the requirements of the position Lehigh may also request credit history reports, motor vehicle checks and professional license/certification verification

The Director of Finance (DOF) for Star Wellness is an important and highly visible position responsible for providing financial management oversight & support to all levels of leadership throughout Star Wellness. The DOF will serve as the primary point of contact for all financial and data analytic issues related to Star Wellness and is expected to have a thorough understanding of the drivers that influence its financial and operational performance. The DOF will work collaboratively with all departments (accounting, finance, operations & executive leadership) to ensure timely and accurate completion of all financial & data analytic needs for Star Wellness. The DOF will actively participate in entity specific strategic & operational planning and forecasting initiatives. This position is also responsible for the coordination of the annual operating budget process, periodic forecasting (as needed), along with financial analysis of existing and/or newly proposed service offerings. Given the collaborative nature of this position, the DOF may also be involved with various Center based initiatives that may extend outside the boundaries of their assigned entity. The intent of this job description is to provide a summary of the major duties and responsibilities of this position and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent in the position. Star Wellness, affiliated with St. Luke's University Health Network, is an organization comprised of community based clinics and sites providing healthcare services to our local populations. New hire(s) will be recruited and hired via St. Luke's University Health Network, but will transition to become a Star Wellness employee following the commencement of new hire onboarding. SCOPE OF DUTIES Provides guidance to the Center's finance, accounting and revenue cycle departments. Develop and produce statistics, metrics and analysis that accurately depict the operating performance of the Center and develops recommendations based on the information to achieve optimal operating performance. Develops process improvements to produce more accurate and meaningful business intelligence, to ensure the Center performs at an efficient and cost effective level. Assists provider compensation team members in the development of forecasting and modeling tools to more efficiently administer, manage and possibly redesign provider compensation methodologies for Star Wellness employed providers. Provides financial due diligence for the Center related to acquisition activity, which may include review of valuation reports prepared by independent consultants and recommendations regarding proposed acquisitions. Participates in third party payor contracting strategies as a Star Wellness representative to the Center's third-party contracting team. Participates in the preparation of the monthly financial statements for the Center, which includes preparation and review of journal entries, account analysis, review of statistics, financial statement compilation, and a financial analysis narrative. Review accuracy of the general ledger and resulting financial statements for Star Wellness – this may include review of general ledger analysis and reconciliation. Coordinate and / or perform financial and expense variance analysis of existing and proposed practice / programs and supports entity specific strategic initiatives through analytics and scenario modeling. Coordinates with Center's Budget & Forecasting department to prepare and develop the annual operating and capital budget for Star Wellness – this may include working directly with entity management to prepare an accurate annual budget and coordinating with other Center personnel to ensure all operational factors are applied. Assembles statistics for budget / forecast projections by coordinating the collection and analysis of information and recommendations from Entity and Center management. Monitors approved budgets by producing periodic variance analysis reports and communicating with the appropriate management team. Manages the process to update and adjust the forecast drivers when appropriate to ensure accurate modeling & forecasting. Assists, when necessary, in the development of financial and operational presentations related to Star Wellness initiatives for senior management, board of directors, other committees, etc. Provides education and support to department heads and administrative staff on financial processes, reports and analytics. Coordinates departmental training and ensures effective communication throughout the entity on all finance related issues. Assists in preparation of information and reporting requirements for federal and other regulatory bodies as needed. Assists in development of financial & accounting policies and procedures. Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Center / Entity as well as the proper release of information. Complies with Center and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements. Demonstrates / models the Center's Service Excellence Standards of Performance in interactions with all customers (internal and external). Demonstrates financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of resources in daily procedures, processes and practices. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration. Master's preferred. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: 10 years progressive experience in financial planning and analysis in a large multi-specialty physician organization with 5 years management experience preferred. CERTIFICATIONS: CMA or CPA preferred WORK SCHEDULE: Usually day shift – Monday through Friday; additional hours as needed. Minimum 40 hours per week.
