About the Role

FTI Consulting is seeking an experienced Document Management System ("DMS") consultant to help grow our Technology segment's Legal Operations offerings and to support our growing pipeline of implementation projects. FTI's Legal Operations consultants advise and assist our clients on document and records management strategy, solutions, and systems implementations. The Director role will work directly with FTI's Legal Operations leaders as well as other industry leading subject matter experts across legal and corporate disciplines to best serve our clients.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and recommend process improvements that are informed by knowledge of DMS best practices and technology solutions.

  • Assess client's existing DMS technology to identify gaps, opportunities for improvement, and prepare roadmaps with prioritized recommendations.

  • Lead corporate clients through the selection of DMS solutions and related capabilities such as knowledge and records management.

  • Lead end-to-end implementation of key DMS solutions and their add-on offerings/modules (discover, design, configure, migrate, integrate, test, train, and deploy).

  • Prepare use cases and translate recommendations into system design documents that are consumable by key stakeholders, including legal, compliance, shared services, IT, etc.

  • Lead design and coordinate implementation of key integrations with other legal and corporate ecosystem solutions such as Microsoft Teams, Single-Sign On (SSO) platforms, ServiceNow, TeamConnect, Onit, Passport, Legal Tracker, etc.

  • Configure DMS solutions to meet design requirements.

  • Define, develop, and implement DMS taxonomy and data security strategy that integrates DMS data and performance metrics with enterprise-wide data sources (e.g., data lake, data warehouse).

  • Work with vendor partner resources during client onboarding activities and manage expectations appropriately.

  • Lead testing, training, and change management activities related to the project scope.

  • Manage projects that result in high client satisfaction and adoption while balancing scope, timeline, margin, and deliverable quality.

  • Participate in business development activities, creating proposals, developing company perspectives, and researching industry trends.

  • Learn FTI's multidisciplinary offerings and capabilities and earn trusted advisership by assisting clients with our diverse offerings in other areas of need.

  • Eventually coach and develop team members to succeed both within Legal Operations and at FTI.

We are committed to investing and supporting you in your professional development and we have developed a range of programs focused on fostering leadership, growth, and development opportunities.
