About the Job

We're looking for a Director, Learning and Development to lead the design, implementation and evolution of high-impact leadership development and corporate individual contributor learning strategies. In this role you will be responsible for defining learning and development strategy, roadmap, and execution of programs that deliver the talent and capabilities required to achieve enterprise strategic long-term goals. This position will play a key role in creating a culture where employees feel supported in their continued growth and development. The Director, Learning and Development will demonstrate strong consultative, influencing skills, and will be effective at quickly establishing credibility and developing working relationships across Tailored Brands. This position reports to the Vice President of Human Resources.

What You'll Do | Key Accountabilities

  • Evolve and execute Tailored Brands' leadership development strategy and framework.

  • Analyze requirements and learning gaps, and develop a leadership development program, curricula, and content across the continuum of people managers (first time managers, mid-level managers, leaders of leaders).

  • Analyze requirements and learning gaps, and develop individual contributor learning strategies, curricula, and content to build workforce capabilities, skills, and competencies.

  • Support the development, integration and delivery of our DE&I learning strategy.

  • Design course content, learning activities, assignments, and assessments for leadership development and corporate individual contributors.

  • Decide on the most suitable modes of instruction, and develop instructional approach (instructor-led, computer-based, web-based, mobile training, etc.)

  • Develop instructor's manuals, rubrics, and other teaching tools.

  • Analyze, update, and refine existing course content.

  • Work with Graphic Artists, Programmers, and Subject Matter Experts in the development of interactive multimedia courseware & troubleshoot problems reported by users.

  • Deploy internal and external resources to facilitate learning interventions. Conduct seminars, workshops, individual training sessions as well as serve as the train-the-trainer facilitator across in scope L&D programs.

  • Develop appropriate metrics and tracking mechanisms to build accountability, measure results, and optimize the impact of organizational development programs.

  • Conduct evaluations to identify areas of improvement and monitor employee performance and response to training.

  • Partner with Store and Supply Chain training teams to scale relevant learning interventions and content.

  • Stay current on developments and innovations in training and education in our industry so that Tailored Brands' training remains relevant.

  • In partnership with HR Business Partners, provide consultation and support for Tailored Brands talent framework.

  • Select and manage external vendors and partners.

  • Manage training budgets.

  • Plan and schedule training sessions (venues, participant logistics, materials, communications, attendance, participant feedback, reporting, etc.)

  • Act as the primary Learning Management System administrator for leadership development and corporate individual contributor programs.

What You'll Bring | Skills & Experience

  • 12 years of experience in leadership development, training program design and implementation

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.

  • Experience in adult learning theory and instructional design concepts.

  • Experience in innovative approaches to training delivery (eLearning, course facilitation, gamification, mobile, etc.)

  • Strategic professional with vision to create training plans for future needs and opportunities.

  • Experienced, high-impact facilitator.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to flex to various audiences.

  • Ability to partner with and influence all levels of management and employees.

  • Strong analytical, project management and change management skills.

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Skilled at prioritizing and working under time constraints, handling multiple tasks, and working independently while remaining flexible to changing priorities and assignments.

  • Experience working within a matrix organization; track record of successfully collaborating cross-functionally.

  • Experience in measuring learning outcomes and business results.

  • Passion for a "roll up your sleeves" and design/contribute environment while managing through ambiguity.

  • Excellent proficiency in PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel

  • Strong interpersonal skills; lead by example; enjoy working with others in a collaborative, social environment; effective at building and maintaining strong relationships.

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands

  • Position can be remote with frequent travel to Houston, TX and Dublin, CA offices.

  • Travel across North America required.

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily.

  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.

  • Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment.

The starting rate for this position is $141,100-188,100 annually and may increase to $235,200 depending on merit, length of service with the Company, and other factors. We take into consideration an individual's skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
