As a key member of Fiserv's Card Services Technology Team, you will partner with business and technology teams across Fiserv to be responsible for the vendor relationships within Card Services to extract maximum value from a contractual agreement impacting both governance and relationship building, all the while leading the associated risks.
Develops a standard process by which vendors are evaluated and selected in accordance with company guidelines and standard methodologies.
Leads the evaluation and selection of vendor partners for applicable products and services.
Ensures that each vendor meets Fiserv criteria, according to established guidelines (documentation, quality, business practices, ethics, financial health, etc.).
Contract Creation & Execution
Works reciprocally with a cross-functional team to craft master service agreements and statements of work.
Partners with the Finance group in reviewing purchase orders and payments.
Assists in establishing service level agreements and metrics scorecards, including quality measurements.
Leads vendor onboarding activities
Ensures vendor partnership health, compliance and structures exist through implementation of standard frameworks of governance, metrics, critical issues and functional oversight.
Ensures all vendor relationships are current and documented in our vendorNET application.
Provides escalation point to resolve contractual issues.
Participates in the review of open issues to identify trends and make recommendations for future improvements of vendor releases.
Ensures contracts are fully used.
Finds opportunities to collaborate across the organization's vendor relationships.
Creates successful relationships with vendor contacts at all levels of the organization.
Maintains vendor calendar of renewals, upgrades, etc.
Evaluate renewals and recommend partnership improvements
Attends vendor sponsored conferences and industry events to understand vendor strategy and market trends.
Maintain awareness of vendor status, trends, and high-level risks through regular communication with vendor counterpart.
Elicits vendor feedback on Fiserv improvement opportunities.
Strategic & Financial Planning
Participates in Fiserv's strategic planning to ensure vendor management program is in alignment with business strategy.
Contributes to Fiserv's long range planning and annual operating plan strategic discussions.
Finds opportunities to demonstrate Fiserv ELA's
Provides input as needed for budgeting and assists in crafting budget justification materials.
Compiles and analyzes trends that affect budgetary needs.
Communicates monthly, quarterly, and annual vendor spend to the organization.
Demonstrates understanding of vendor management concepts and implementation techniques, including contract negotiation and vendor performance monitoring.
Strong experience completing vendor evaluations and preparing RFPs.
Ability to prepare and effectively lead negotiation sessions.
Understanding of the lifecycle of enterprise applications and software development methodologies.
Broad knowledge of the organization, industry and relevant external forces, with a significant understanding of how the role of Card Services participates within the financial services industry.
Knowledge of financial services technology and the industry.

7+ years of vendor management/service provider/account management experience.
Shown success in creating and maintaining a vendor management program within an organization.
