The IT Enterprise Sourcing role will partner with IT leadership and management in the sourcing and acquisition of IT services and equipment. The role is accountable for sourcing strategy development & implementation, contract negotiations, and a component of supplier relationship management. The role will work closely with IT to address their business needs and requirements, understand the marketplace, analyze spend, review supplier performance, and influence the use of preferred suppliers.

Key Accountabilities:

Account Management: Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and supporting the services needed to build and maintain relationships with IT vendors in a professional and efficient manner.

  • Establish and maintain strategic sourcing relationships with emphasis on quality, delivery, service, and cost.

  • Understand the needs and requirements of the business partners.

  • Educate the business partners on procurement practices and requirements.

  • Build strong working relationships with business and operational improvements.

  • Complete the identification and selection process for adding or changing suppliers.

Leadership & Teamwork: Promotes an environment that supports collaboration/partnership.

  • Sets priority and makes day-to-day decisions. Escalates matters to senior management as needed.

  • Provide leadership, motivation, coaching and assessment to ensure high performance in support of company and department goals for a small team of sourcing professions

  • Fosters positive working relationships with business units to manage strategic supplier relationships.

  • Plan, develop, and lead strategic relationships with key technology partners to identify opportunities to leverage enterprise spend, reduce overall costs and increase service. Provide visibility to and coordinate management of all IT contracts with FNNI and FNTS. Ensure appropriate spend leverage across all relevant IT categories and FNN business units.

  • Accountable for a small team of sourcing professionals.

Procurement Expertise & Business

Responsible for maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of procurement and the assigned business unit. Develop and maintain category strategy by assessing the current situation, future business needs, marketplace dynamics, and best in class benchmark data.

  • Negotiation Strategies and Execution (emerging technology solutions and appropriate benchmarking)

  • Procurement processes, including supplier sourcing request for proposals (RFPs), request for information (RFI), contract implementations and supplier performance management (scorecard)

  • Lead cost analysis (total cost of ownership) and business case development for Sourcing events within your area

  • Build and maintain category expertise

  • Develop and lead a repeatable process & strategy for setting clear goals and achieving large scale enterprise savings through contract consolidation or renegotiation, unit cost reductions or increased service levels using data from procurement system and/or other available data points.

  • Plan, coordinate, and/or lead multiple large-scale enterprise wide technology and Strategic Sourcing projects and initiatives that impact one or more business units and support departments, including yet not limited to:

  • Managed print services

  • IT hardware & software procurement and deployment

  • Software/Hardware Maintenance contracts and renewals

  • IT Service contracts and statements of work

  • Telecom and related agreements

  • Wireless Device agreements

  • Audiovisual trends and practices

  • Where appropriate, oversee initiative funding approach, business case development and stakeholder consensus.

  • Develop and manage project plans, initiatives and budgets.

Compliance: Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties.

  • Complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls, as required.

  • Report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations.

  • Report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

  • If applicable, ensure direct reports meet the above requirements and take action to address employee performance issues.

  • Adhering to corporate procurement policies, this position creates and leads the RFP/RFI/Competitive Bid process for technology related initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Customer Relationship Management, Systems Development, 5 years in an IT technology area, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • 7-10 years experience in increasingly responsible positions in a technology sourcing/procurement, project management and implementation environment with management oversight of spend exceeding $100 million, to include establishing vendor relationships and negotiating vendor contracts.

  • Effective project management experience and ability to balance short- and long-term priorities.

  • Experience in managing third party relationships including selection, contracting and problem resolution skills. 3 plus year of experience with negotiation and understanding of commercial law/contract language.

  • Proven problem solving, decision making, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to analyze, design, test, train and implement system enhancements.

  • Managerial experience preferred.

  • CPA, MBA or other post-secondary education preferred

  • Strong team facilitation skills preferred.

This position will manage a team of sourcing professionals and will be responsible for determining the categories to source, drive savings, manage contracts with suppliers and monitor impact, as well as develop policies and procedures to ensure that the organization sources materials according to the strategic sourcing strategy. Through partnerships with Operations, Sales and Engineering leaders, this position will find, identify, and execute appropriate synergies (financial and non-financial) that create cohesion throughout the enterprise. The Director of Strategic Sourcing will understand and manage risks associated with the external supply chain and develop processes and strategies to provide the highest service levels possible for material availability to manufacturing operations. The Director of Strategic Sourcing will lead and direct all facets of procurement, strategic sourcing, logistics, material forecasting, inventory management, supplier quality and related areas. The Director will pro-actively review the effectiveness of staff and suppliers, and drive continuous improvement resulting in measurable improvements in KPIs for cost, quality, on time delivery and inventory levels.
