Director, Information Technology, Corporate Applications is a key position within the technology team, reporting up to the executive responsible for application delivery, data analytics, and operational management of technologies supporting these. It has a large team with several direct reports and responsibilities for technical and business analyst functions.

  • The position is responsible for the management, integration, design, implementation, maintenance, and support of the corporate information systems portfolio supporting the activities of Bronson enterprise's operations.

  • The position's responsibilities include leading, managing, and supporting the organization's Tier 1 critical applications such as Finance Systems, Facilities Management, Back Office Operations (M365), HR systems (such as Workday) in collaboration and partnership with teams in each business area and several other similar services, platforms, programs and projects.

  • This position will be responsible for developing the ongoing strategy and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the enterprise data warehouse, clinical and business Intelligence operations, and enterprise analytics initiatives at Bronson.

  • It is also responsible for managing the portfolio of corporate digital applications and services that serve Bronson's workforce and community partners.

  • The position is also responsible for coordinating and contributing to the strategic plans, and innovation ideas for exploring new technologies in the corporate operations areas of business.

  • Will serve as the principal point of representation and liaison with third-party vendors and external affiliates on operational matters and provide day-to-day guidance and leadership.

  • Coordinates with managers and team leaders on resources for planning, analysis, building, testing, training, policy/procedures, development, and issue resolution.

  • Works to establish and improve standards and accountability for application testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding application enhancements.

  • Coordinates change management and effective controls to improve functions, security standards, user experience and application service level requirements.

  • Analyzes the functionality and constraints of recommended solutions/changes across multiple systems/platforms/applications.

  • Superior expertise in project management with demonstrated ability to bring multiple simultaneous assignments to satisfactory conclusions according to defined parameters.

  • Works with the corporate and other shared service providers to define the proper metrics and KPIs in evaluating service delivery quality and performance levels. Evaluate and defines strategies for improving processes and procedures. Develops and implements changes and improvements.

  • Ensures compatibility, interoperability, stability, and usability of solution architecture.

  • Promotes the interfacing and control of the organization's present technology and the dissemination of technological information throughout the organization.

  • Will coordinate with other leaders to support the maintenance, and support of network information systems, data center operations, interfaces, security administration, disaster recovery, customer services, and IT planning supporting the activities of Bronson Healthcare Group.

  • In addition, the individual in this role will oversee fiscal, operational, and human resources management for the areas of business under the position's purview.

  • Demonstrates adequate knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to health information technology, privacy, insurance regulations, audit, billing and reimbursement principles, security, and other applicable areas.

QUALIFICATIONS -

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree required in computer science, business administration or STEM-related field, masters in a related field preferred.

  • At least 10 years of successful and progressive responsibility in the areas of IT department leadership at a mid-senior level, managing a diverse portfolio of applications, enterprise-wide projects, and business operations and analysis required.

  • Should have a high level of technical understanding of technical data applications and technologies, platforms, and data solution architecture.

  • Experience in the implementation and support of IT systems with a focus on enterprise-level corporate and enterprise analytics applications/systems in a healthcare environment preferred.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS

Certification in applicable area of experience such as Epic applications, ITIL, business process management, project management (PMP or similar) preferred.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • -Expert knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to health information technology, privacy, security, and other applicable areas.

  • Superior expertise in project management with demonstrated ability to bring multiple simultaneous assignments to satisfactory conclusion according to defined parameters.

  • Expansive knowledge of the emerging best practices for the managing of health information technology as it relates to project management, process improvement, change management, end user experiences, customer service and financial performance.

  • Experience in developing system strategies, standards, and planning/execution/communication at all levels of the organization including and up to the organizational Board

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and secures approval of a coordinated budget for areas of responsibility and guides subordinate managers in the development of their budgets as necessary. Administers or delegates the administration of budgets, approving expenditures, reviewing reports, etc.

  • Develops, approves, and (when necessary) secures approval of policies designed to ensure the attainment of agreed-upon goals for areas of responsibility. Ensures the development of the procedures necessary to implement approved policy.

  • Hires subordinate managerial personnel and advise them in planning the appropriate staffing for their areas of responsibility. Evaluates, develops, and (when necessary) disciplines and discharges subordinates, delegating such matters to supervisory and managerial employees as appropriate.

  • Directs the design and establishment of appropriate management control procedures to monitor work volume, efficiency standards, the quality of services provided and other management concern for areas of responsibility. Reviews records and reports and initiates corrective actions, requests special analyses, and/or changes control procedures when necessary.

  • Works with subordinate managers and members of the medical and clinical staff as appropriate in the development of goals and plans for the organizational components for which he or she is responsible.

  • Provides leadership and responsibility for the development and review of IT policies, ensuring appropriate distribution, timely review, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and accrediting regulations

  • Responsible for the deployment, integration, and modeling of the behaviors and standards of Bronson's Plan for Excellence in areas of direct responsibility and throughout the entire Bronson Healthcare Group.

  • Responsible for ensuring that our employees follow safe practices and procedures for the fair and ethical treatment of our patients, families, visitors and other customers

  • Responsible for making timely decisions and taking necessary action related to the readiness for, and compliance with, the requirements of internal and external bodies, involving compliance, accreditation, auditing, and other regulations required of Bronson Healthcare Group.

  • Provides leadership in conducting audits as well as proactive and reactive investigation of regulatory compliance.

  • Establish annual and long-range application ecosystem design, resiliency, and performance goals, define strategies, metrics, reporting mechanisms and program services; and create maturity models and a roadmap for continual program improvements.

  • Stay abreast of information technology trends, issues and regulatory changes; participate in policy and practice discussions, engage in professional development to maintain continual growth in professional skills and knowledge essential to the position.

  • Mentor the IT team members and implement professional development plans for all members of the team.

  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Works in a clean, generally well-lighted and temperature-controlled environment. Minimal risk to any hazardous conditions, however, mandatory risk/protection education and in servicing is enforced.
