Director, Investor Relations & Fund Raising- Commercial Real Estate- Newport Beach, CA

A leading industrial real estate firm focusing on mixed use industrial/commercial properties is seeking a Director, Investor Relations & Fund Raising to lead their Investor Relations and Capital Markets team. Reporting to the Managing Director of Capital Markets, the Director of Investor Relations will lead a Tier-1 Investor Relations team while developing and executing strategies for capital raising with both institutional and HNW investors. This is a high impact role, and position demands a pedigreed and proven Director of Investor Relations with a strong track record of managing a top-tier Investor Relations team with a deep understanding of both the commercial real estate sector and a rapidly changing capital markets environment.

Responsibilities

A. Investor Relations Management

• Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential institutional investors, analysts, and financial media
• Craft and deliver compelling messages regarding company’s performance, strategy, and prospects
• Manage and coordinate investor communication materials including annual reports, earnings releases, and investor presentations
• Lead and manage investor meetings, roadshows, and conferences
• Monitor and analyze market trends and investor feedback to provide strategic insights to senior management
• Develop and implement a comprehensive investor relations strategy
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements regarding investor communications

B. Capital Raising

• Develop and implement strategies for capital raising to support a rapidly growing commercial and industrial real estate portfolio
• Lead negotiations and manage the due diligence process
• Collaborate with the CFO and senior management to determine capital structure and financing options
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to fundraising activities

C. Strategic Planning

• Align investor relations and capital raising strategies with the overall business strategy
• Monitor commercial/industrial real estate industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks
• Prepare detailed financial models and forecasts to support fundraising activities and investor communications
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Board of Directors, Executive team, and key institutional investors

Requirements

• Bachelors in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field. MBA and/or CFA a plus
• 8+ years of private funds investor relations/fundraising experience, ideally in the commercial/industrial real estate, capital markets or investment banking sectors
• Proven track record of capital raising experience working directly with institutional investors and managing a Investor Relations team
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and the entire Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong understanding of financial modeling and valuation concepts
• Analytical, organized, with excellent project management skills and high attention to detail
• Proficient in polished written and oral communication and a team player
