The Director reports to the Vice President of MP&A/Finance and directs Inventory Managers and Inventory Deployment Analysts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for inventory management and deployment strategy for the BBWD business

  • Drives inventory planning to meet category financial plans (sales and margin), targets (inventory productivity) and supply chain capacity.

  • Partners with Merchants and Planning to achieve Stretch (in-season chase, pre-season planning etc.)

  • Improves inventory segmentation between Stores and Direct

  • Defines the future of BBWD production to improve agility

  • Partners with production (Mast) to identify new options for speed capability as we continue to grow

  • Drives changes to production to benefit fulfillment center processing if economically viable

  • Leads contingency planning for inventory, including agility/speed plays and upside/chase capability. Manages glide-pathing to minimize distressed selling.

  • Supports product and inventory-level testing.

  • Responsible for recruiting, on-boarding, development and retention of talent.

  • Provides regularly updated views of receipt plans based on merchandise strategy. Partners with Logistics to ensure proper deployment and limit split shipment cost

  • Partners with flow planning team to ensure inventory production arrives as planned

  • Directs inventory flow to new Fulfillment Centers and partners strategically as we grow the Fulfillment Center network in the future

  • Ensures better monitoring of in-transit inventory to support in-season decision making

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in business, finance, statistics, operations, supply chain

  • 7-10 years of inventory management, replenishment and allocation or store experience

  • Experience in high volume, multi-location distribution environment or equivalent MRP experience in multi-plant manufacturing environment preferred

  • Retail supply chain knowledge

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills working with multiple partners to resolve exceptions and negotiate best alternatives.

  • Optimization mindset designs and develops plans to optimize decisions

  • Problem-solving skills proactively recommends solutions to various stakeholders; makes decisions with limited information

  • Strong analytical skills ability to analyze and understand quantitative data

  • Strong computer skills (PC-based); demonstrated ability to learn and apply new software technology. Systems experience: Manugistics, SAP, Microstrategy

  • Experience with planning and order systems

  • Understands and executes against business strategy and goals

  • Strong prioritization skills

VIEW JOBS 4/9/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-08T00:00 Description Purpose/Description: The Inventory Deployment Analyst (IDA) is responsible for the deployment of finished goods from various distribution centers to direct fulfillment centers for an assigned book of business. The Analyst will review fulfillment center inventory levels to ensure proper balance of available to sell inventory. The Analyst will ensure optimum inventory levels to maximize sales and margins and to achieve targeted levels of inventory productivity, in support of overall product and company profitability. The Inventory Deployment Analyst will collaborate with the other IDAs on replenishment strategy, Logistics on orders and with Flow Planning on movement of product. This position reports to the Manager, Inventory Deployment or Sr. Inventory Deployment Analyst. Principle Responsibilities: * Influence ratio of units interfaced to fulfillment centers managing out of balance articles via safety stock and hide recommendations * Partner with IDAs, Planners and Merchants to assess risk on distressed inventory * Hide articles pending replenishment or box-up for sale periods * Manage and report on order split rate associated with distressed inventory * Evaluate risk associated with distressed inventory based on promo cadence * Manage Bath and Body Direct Seasonal Readiness reporting * MP&A liaison to Mast Logistics for inventory discrepancies * Development of inventory ramp plans for popup fulfillment centers * Manage rebalancing transfers between fulfillment centers * Support some category IDA functions * Manage inventory synchronicity between fulfillment centers and webstore Qualifications Qualifications/Capabilities: * Bachelor degree in business, finance, statistics, operations, supply chain * 1-3 years of inventory management, replenishment and allocation or store experience * Experience in high volume, multi-location distribution environment or equivalent MRP experience in multi-plant manufacturing environment preferred * Retail supply chain knowledge * Strong communication and negotiation skills – working with multiple partners to resolve exceptions and negotiate best alternatives. * Optimization mindset – designs and develops plans to optimize decisions * Problem-solving skills – proactively recommends solutions to various stakeholders; makes decisions with limited information * Strong analytical skills – ability to analyze and understand quantitative data * Strong computer skills (PC-based); demonstrated ability to learn and apply new software technology.
