Title: Director, International Tax Operations
Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Responsible for international direct tax operations, including foreign and U.S. international tax provision, U.S. international compliance reporting related to foreign entities, worldwide country by country reporting, and managing the maintenance and implementation of transfer pricing policies and documentation worldwide.
Lead, develop and motivate a high performance team of international tax professionals.
Manage the international and U.S. compliance reporting related to foreign entities to ensure all reporting obligations are satisfied accurately and timely
Manage worldwide country by country reporting
Direct foreign and U.S. international tax audits/protests/appeals and tax notices & inquiries, including development and implementation of tax audit plan, audit defense strategy, risk assessment, and ensuring timely completion, maintenance, and execution
Manage foreign and international income tax aspects of the quarterly and year-end tax provision
Manage the maintenance and implementation of transfer pricing policies and documentation worldwide.
Manage SOX processes and documentation related to international tax matters
Coordinate with personnel in the Tax, Finance, Legal, Treasury and other departments along with communication with executives at all levels at the company
Monitor changes in U.S. international tax and foreign tax laws to anticipate the impact on the Company and influence such changes where appropriate
Skills & Experience Required:
At least 15 years of experience in tax with a combination of major public accounting firm and multinational corporation in high-tech industry, with a minimum of 12 years international taxation experience
Great leadership, interpersonal, and team management skills
Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to breakdown large scale initiatives and challenges into a sequence of diligently completed smaller projects.
Proven ability to research and communicate technical tax issues clearly to non-tax people and work effectively across all levels of internal process owners and external advisors
High intellect and mental flexibility with ability to seamlessly move from the strategic to the operational level
A strong sense of conviction, ability to advocate position, confidence in making recommendations coupled with enough humility and open-mindedness to consider alternative points of view, willingness to compromise, with the overarching goal to go with and support the best idea, wherever it came from.
M&A due diligence and integration experience
In-depth technical knowledge and practical leadership experience dealing with foreign and U.S. international tax matters for multinational corporations
BS/BA in Accounting and CPA; Advanced degree in Taxation preferred
Strong accounting, project management and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
