What You'll Be Doing
Under the direction of the Global Deputy Chief Auditor, the Director
Internal Audit Professional Practices
US Regulatory Affairs and IA Administration is responsible for leading and coordinating US regulatory matters for the Internal Audit Department. In addition, this position leads efforts pertaining to global central deficiency management for Internal Audit and various global administrative matters.
Lead the coordination of US regulatory relations for the Internal Audit Group in the US
Coordinate, monitor and fulfill all US regulatory requests with the support from audit teams to ensure timely and appropriate information is provided to regulators
Liaise with Audit Portfolio Executives to identify strategies for addressing all regulatory requests and follow up questions.
Responsible for the oversight on all communications and interactions with US regulators (e.g., FRB, FDIC, NYDFS, SEC)
Provide thought leadership to Internal Audit Department based on tends and themes derived from regulatory activity analysis
Be a liaison with the other key stakeholders at the Bank related to end-to-end regulatory exam management and regulatory interactions
Prepare quarterly or ad-hoc meeting materials necessary for US regulatory meetings
Maintain and enhance deficiency management process for the Internal Audit department to ensure accuracy of data and consistency in deficiency follow up
Lead and/or assist Professional Practices Center (PPC) special projects
Assist with quality control initiatives to help improve overall quality within the department
Who You Are
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required
Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
Strong PowerPoint presentation skills
Strong Word skills
Detail oriented and attention to quality
Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage shifting priorities
10+ years of relevant experience
Ability to work independently in areas of difficult or complex nature
Strong analytical, written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
Exemplify a positive attitude, strong work ethic, teamwork and professionalism
Willingness to work overtime when needed to meet team deadlines

Strong project management skills. Must be capable of assuming high levels of responsibility within short time frames. Ability to work well under pressure with multiple or competing deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Must be able to accept flexibility in required personal time commitments to complete work assignments.

Well-developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills in order to develop, manage and leverage relationships with clients, and internal and/or external business partners. Unquestioned professionalism, ethics, and reputation and proven ability to exercise strong independent judgment when making business decisions. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills sufficient to provide detailed explanations and interpretation of factual and conceptual information and ideas related to complex technical and conceptual issues.
