Unit Description

We are seeking a Director, Integrated Marketing to help lead multi-channel activation for the Senior Living segment, North America. This person will lead the development and execution of strategies that drive business growth & establish a strong brand identity for Sodexo in the Senior Living industry.

It's an exciting time to be in the Senior Living industry with the long term care market $500B+ and growing rapidly, driven by aging demographic demand. The changing market dynamics are triggering an industry metamorphosis, creating an imperative for senior living operators to adapt traditional business models, and integrate hospitality and technology innovation in effective ways to accelerate penetration of the aging population (55+).

This position will be responsible for leadership of a comprehensive strategy across all marketing efforts, including content marketing/campaigns, marketing assets and messaging, tradeshow events, and digital/PR channels (in collaboration with Brand Comms and PR partners) to drive target audience awareness and engagement via external marketing of services and programs across Food/Dining, Environmental Services and other relevant categories.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive, integrated marketing strategy and execute plans including budgets, channel mix (web, email, social, trade media, print, events) and timelines to drive lead generation/funnel throughput

  • Lead trade association strategy - including relationships/sponsorships, events and conferences. Bring innovation and ideas to the exhibit experience to help distinguish Sodexo and drive targeted impact. Governance of local and national trade show exhibits including booth, traffic building promotions, press releases and logistics

  • Build and execute plan to drive engagement and strengthen support/advocacy (NPS) of existing clients

  • Leads the development, distribution/trafficking of campaigns - ads, case studies and content to support plan; Ensure that messaging and tactics are aligned to support the strategic plan; Ensure consistency of brand look and feel

  • Partners with Offer Development team in support of the deployment of new offers and programs

  • Lead collaborations in aligning campaigns and integrated editorial calendars across different media platforms and distribution channels in partnership with Brand Communications, PR/Media and other functional teams

  • Primary segment liaison for marketing automation platform

  • Strategically utilizes the CRM database, and drives marketing attribution and reporting

  • Monitors performance and continuously seeks and tests new ways to drive effectiveness and improved marketing outcomes. Communicate results and their importance to internal stakeholders

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Ops, Finance, Solution Development) to achieve strategic plan goals and KPIs

  • Ongoing analysis of trends with the ability to develop and implement alternative strategies as needed

  • Manage direct reports, agencies, freelance vendors, and contractors as appropriate

  • Develop and adhere to timelines and budget

Background / main skill-sets required:

  • 10 years+ Integrated Marketing experience, including tradeshow/events and digital channels

  • Robust knowledge of existing and emerging marketing platforms and channels

  • Experience using CRM systems/platforms and demonstrated evidence of marketing attribution

  • B2B in a related healthcare or outsourced services industry is a plus

  • Strong communication skills (interpersonal, written, verbal, presentation)

  • Very strong team skills, demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams

  • Strong planning skills; strong analytical skills

The ideal candidate will be located in the greater Washington D.C. area or on the East Coast close to a major airport. Travel of up to 40% should be expected.

Position Summary

Develops marketing strategy for a specific geographic area within a Division. Works with operational constituents to develop programs that ensure optimum sales and profitability. Responsibilities include market analysis, growth strategy, strategic positioning of marketing initiatives, client retention, competitor analysis, and new sales strategy. Develops training programs to educate field on marketing tools and build skills. Works with operations personnel to integrate concepts into portfolio, targeting appropriate customer segments. Meets with clients to present retail strategy in conjunction with market research findings. Manages a marketing staff.

  • 5 years of experience in retail, marketing, or operations
