Position Summary

Director, Insights & Innovation responsibilities are twofold. First, for ensuring the voice of the consumer is heard in all business decisions. This role is expected to bring the consumer perspective to marketing decision making around brand strategy, positioning, consumer communication, and targeting. Second, lead the development and implementation of the innovation process. This individual will be interfacing with R&D, Commercial Strategy, Sales and key partners within the US to drive strategy, ideation and execution of our innovation agenda.

This Director will manage a total team of 7 located in both Mississauga & Montreal reporting directly to the VP Marketing.

Responsibilities

INSIGHTS

  • Be the voice of the consumer within the organization working collaboratively with brand to ensure KDP remains a consumer centric organization.

  • Own consumer insight development and deliverables to ensure insights are translated into actionable marketing plans.

  • Work with brand to identify research solutions that improve core understanding of the brand and opportunities for growth.

  • Utilize key insights with commercial team to improve execution of all programs.

INNOVATION

  • Lead innovation development and ideation for KDP across all hot and cold brands.

  • Work with R&D, Brand (combined with Insights) to drive both close in and white space innovation.

  • Manage the gate approval process to ensure commercial team alignment on all initiatives.

  • Oversee the innovation projects for brands, private label and partners.

PACKAGING & MARKETING SERVICES

  • Oversee the management and execution of all packaging changes, both innovation and ongoing maintenance changes for all brands.

  • Lead the development of corporate template that affects multiple brands.

Rsum du poste

Les responsabilits du Directeur principal, Intelligence consommateurs et innovation comportent deux volets. Tout d'abord, il doit s'assurer que la voix du consommateur est prise en compte dans toutes les dcisions commerciales. Ce rle devra intgrer la perspective des consommateurs dans la prise de dcisions relatives au marketing, notamment au chapitre des stratgies, du positionnement, des communications aux consommateurs et du ciblage des marques. Deuximement, il devra piloter le dveloppement et la mise en uvre du processus d'innovation. Cette personne interagira avec les quipes de R-D, de la Stratgie commerciale et des Ventes, ainsi qu'avec des partenaires cls aux .-U., pour faire avancer la stratgie, l'idation et l'excution de notre programme d'innovations.

Ce directeur principal grera une quipe compose de sept personnes situes Mississauga et Montral, et relvera de la v.-p. Marketing

Responsabilits

INTELLIGENCE CONSOMMATEURS

  • tre la voix du consommateur au sein de l'organisation, et travailler en collaboration avec les marques pour s'assurer que KDP demeure une organisation centre sur le consommateur.

  • Assumer la responsabilit du dveloppement de l'intelligence consommateurs et de ses livrables pour s'assurer que les perspectives tires de celle-ci sont traduites en plans de marketing ralisables.

  • Travailler avec les marques pour identifier les solutions de recherche qui amliorent la comprhension de base des marques et les possibilits de croissance.

  • Utiliser les perspectives cls avec l'quipe commerciale pour amliorer l'excution de tous les programmes.

INNOVATION

  • Diriger le dveloppement et l'idation d'innovations pour toutes les marques de produits chauds et froids de KDP.

  • Travailler avec les quipes R-D et des Marques (de concert avec l'Intelligence consommateurs) pour l'avancement des innovations visant amliorer l'offre et profiter d'opportunits pas encore exploites (white space).

  • Grer les diverses tapes du processus d'approbation pour s'assurer que l'quipe commerciale est aligne sur toutes les initiatives.

  • Superviser les projets d'innovation pour les marques maison, prives et partenaires.

EMBALLAGES ET SERVICES MARKETING

  • Veiller la gestion et l'excution de tous les changements d'emballages, tant pour les innovations que pour les mises jour, et ce, pour toutes les marques.

  • Diriger le dveloppement d'un gabarit d'entreprise qui touche plusieurs marques.

  • University Degree, preferably Market Research, Psychology or related field
  • 15+ years of consumer market research experience, including study design, management and application of recent types of market research
