Director, Inside Sales and Sales Support

The Director Inside Sales and Sale Support will manage day to day operations of the Inside Sales Team and be responsible for directing activities, coaching, and managing sales performance. This individual will be responsible for sales quotas and strategic planning. They will set the vision for the team, create an action plan to reach that vision and work closely with supporting roles to ensure success.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, hire, and resource plan for department and manage onboarding and training for new personnel

  • Define long term vision and strategy for inside sales department and drive sales strategies that align with the company's broader business objectives, demonstrating a deep understanding of market dynamics and customer needs.

  • Lead by example in building strong customer relationships, understanding client needs, and ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Daily management of individual and department activities and sales performance KPI's

  • Manage inside sales selling techniques and ongoing professional development through call quality monitoring, observation and coaching

  • Analyze activity and sales reports to monitor and measure effectiveness

  • Focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets through effective team management, strategy implementation, and performance analysis.

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing leaders to ensure alignment of strategic initiatives and product launch activities

  • Collaborate with other sales leaders and finance to design and implement compensation programs and sales incentives

  • Maintain strong relationships and rapport with key customers and opinion leaders

  • Represent Sonova at national and regional meetings as required

  • Other duties as assigned by VP Sales

More about you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Administration or equivalent work experience

  • 7+ years' experience in Inside Sales or Account Management

  • 3+ years' people management experience

  • 2+ years' experience managing a field sales team highly preferred

  • B2B sales experience in Hearing Healthcare Industry desired

  • Possess the ability to create a high energy, enjoyable work culture; setting high standards of knowledge and accountability

  • Ability to interpret data and bring learnings into daily management; having a contagious stretch mindset

  • Ability to coach, mentor and driver performance in a team environment

  • Strategic thinker and problem solver

  • Focus on achievement of growth goals and staff accountability

  • Strong negotiation and closing skills

  • Focus on building strong customer relationships

  • Strong PC skills (MS Office Suite) and web based applications (SAP, SFDC, Funnel Management, Lead Management)

A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova
