Coordinate the day-to-day functions of the Test Development and Logistic Support groups, including test development, training materials, distribution and collection, scanning of specifically local assessments
Oversee staffing for the Test Development and Logistic Support groups
Assure the appropriate assignment of resources between the different departments for joint activities
Coordinate test development services between test development and academic departments
Coordinate implementation of the district's ACPs and Common Assessment tests
Interact with the public, state agencies, administrators, and school personnel to provide information about the role and function of assessment
Assure that appropriate plans are developed and approved for all local assessment activities.
Keep the Executive Director informed about the activities and products of the Test Development and Logistic Support groups
Interact with other departments to assure appropriate communication with the Test Development and Logistic Support groups
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the district's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, appraising; rewarding, disciplining, and conflict resolution
Keep abreast of technical, legislative, and professional developments affecting the Local Assessment group, particularly in the areas of test development, assessment policies, research, statistical analytic techniques, and computer data analyses and reporting technologies
Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director-Assessment
Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned as it related to Title I, Part A grant requirements
All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification as appropriate
Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) from an accredited university with 36 graduate hours of B or better in statistics, experimental design, measurement, computer science, or evaluation (preferred)
Minimum six years of experience in assessment, program evaluation and analysis of educational data and databases
Must have exemplary academic credentials and experience designing, monitoring, and implementing, assessment activities.
Must have exemplary strategic and operational planning skills.
Must possess financial planning skills required in the direction of multi-million-dollar budgets
Must have documented oral and written communication skills to meet the needs of a diverse community and district staff
