About This Opportunity
The Senior Director of Gift Product Management will lead a small team of product managers and actively manage one of the largest Gift Card Product portfolios in the industry. Incomm's Vanilla Gift brand, along with the recently acquired American Express Gift Card portfolio [http://www.incomm.com/news-events/Pages/Press%20Releases/InComm-to-Become-Exclusive-Distributor-of-American-Express-U.S.-Prepaid-Cards.aspx] is an exciting combination of the complex world of financial services along with the distribution and challenges of consumer-packaged goods. The Senior Director of Gift Product Management will establish a strong product roadmap with inputs from various stakeholders, help bring to market new and innovative gift products, and lead the way in digitizing an established product.
Recommends the nature and scope of present and future gift product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.
Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
Assesses product market data by calling on customers with salespeople and evaluating sales call results.
Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses; answering questions and requests.
Facilitates inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and production schedules.
Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with product delivery and operations.
Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.
Maintains product management staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
EX: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required
5 years of software development experience required
CPG and/or Financial Services preferred.
Expertise in objected-oriented analysis and design across a variety of platforms
Ability to learn new technologies and translate them into working software
Ability to effectively communicate to internal and external business partners on solution design
