Director, Identity Access Management

Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, you will lead a global team of approximately 40 IAM professionals. You will be responsible for shaping and executing our enterprise wide IAM strategy, standards, and practices globally.

As the Director of IAM you will define the overall IAM strategy to elevate our identity and access management position, ensuring our firm remains at the cutting edge of security and access technologies aligned with business objects.

As part of the Cyber leadership team, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across product, architecture and engineering, design, cyber, and operations teams to drive the overall transformation. You will have significant experience leading complex, global identity and access programs with an extensive background in enterprise applications, risk management, and business acumen to navigate a highly matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will revolve around leading and shaping the firm's IAM strategy. You will be the driving force in developing and implementing plans to secure our firm's digital identities and control access to sensitive information.

Communication is critical, as you will interact with executives and teams across the firm, transparently explaining complex IAM concepts. The role involves overseeing policies, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Innovation is at the core of integrating emerging technologies advanced processes like machine learning for anomaly detection, automated entitlement reviews, identity analytics, and customer identity and access management.

You will be responsible for the strategic leadership to formulate and execute a comprehensive IAM strategy aligned with business objectives. The ability to collaborate closely with Tech Ecosystem leadership and cross-functional teams is critical. You will serve as a thought leader of McKinsey's IAM function and will be responsible for leading, mentoring, recruiting, and retaining an exceptional team, providing opportunities for growth to ensure the continuity of the function's leadership.

You must have the ability to balance security and the user experience in designing and implementing IAM solutions and processes to provide a seamless and secure experience for customers accessing digital services. In addition, you will manage and optimize the overall identity and access management lifecycle with an emphasis on security while driving IAM roadmaps, operational plans, and execution management against project plans and committed deliverables on time and within budget.

• 15+ years of experience in IAM leadership roles with a track record of building high-performing teams, a strong background in risk management, and driving innovation across the Identity and access Management discipline

• A bachelor's degree in the STEM field is required; focus on computer science preferred

• Expertise in IAM architectures, Identity access governance, cloud identity management of securing identities and access in cloud environments, including integration with cloud-based IAM solutions

• Holds professional certifications, such as Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM) or Certified Identity and Access Professional (CIMP), and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
