SAP Ariba's Trust Office team is responsible for identifying, assessing and managing threats, vulnerabilities, and associated risks to Ariba's information assets and resources. This includes providing expertise and partnership with operating and maintaining various integrated security technologies to protect the integrity, confidentiality and availability of all information resources throughout a highly distributed cloud environment.

The Director of Identity, Access and Data Security is expected to be a seasoned security professional who drives security improvements within SAP Ariba. The Director will drive security improvements for platform and infrastructure services. The Director will ensure deployment, roll-out and maintenance of security tools for the environment, . We are looking for a strong multi-tasker with a keen eye for detail, someone who can think one step ahead of cyber threats. You must be well organized and thrive in fast-paced, high demand role. This role will report to the leader for Security and Privacy for SAP Ariba.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Drive innovation and research, technical analysis and prototyping to solve IAM, DLP, Certificate Management, Key Management and Anti-virus solutions in cloud

  • Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive suites of test cases against our cloud service platform.

  • Partner with product management in suggesting and clarifying product requirements

  • Communicate and collaborate with engineering teams, architects, and product management

  • Proactively look for ways to make security solutions better

  • Emphasize performance, stress, and scalability testing.

  • Track defects and verify fixes.

  • Operations/maintenance of IAM, DLP, Certificate, Key Management and Anti-virus solutions

  • Documentation creation

  • Compliance reporting

Job Requirements

In order to be successful, the ideal candidate must be, without a doubt, passionate about our customers, partners and technology. Success will depend upon building rapport and credibility with multiple stakeholders across SAP Ariba.

Minimum Qualifications for this role:

  • Direct experience with host based security software.

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.

  • Solid understanding of data structures

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent knowledge in testing and automating integration around cloud service platforms using REST APIs.

  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis abilities.

  • Linux host administration

  • Familiarity with cloud environments (private, public, hybrid)

  • Experience with both hardware and software based DLP solutions

  • Regulatory and compliance experience

Additional Qualifications for this role:

  • Knowledge of SANS Top 25 Common Weaknesses

  • Knowledge of PCI-DSS standard and controls

  • Knowledge of ISO 27034 standard

  • Certifications, one of: GSEC / CEH / GCIH / GWAPT

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent desired.

  • Software Development, System Administration, or Network Engineering experience

  • Successful track record of working with both business and technical customers to achieve business goals and meet requirements

  • Knowledgeable in Cloud Security, Application and Web Application Security and the concepts, techniques, tools, methods and practices used to secure them

  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence others

  • Excellent planning ability and business acumen

  • Able to see the "big picture" and contribute to development of operations runbook

  • Must be organized and goal/execution oriented
