TRC, a national engineering, consulting and construction management firm providing integrated services to the power, environmental, infrastructure and oil & gas markets is currently looking for a talented, seasoned and customer centric Director Human Resources, Environmental to provide guidance on strategic and routine Human Resource matters to senior managers and employees. The position is a full-time position and will be located in Austin or Houston, TX.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Partner with operations leadership to fully understand business goals and objectives and ensure HR programs and strategy are aligned to effectively support those goals.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to sector and practice leaders and managers to implement business strategy and planning initiatives.

  • Identify and use metrics and analytics to make a business case for HR programs aligned with business goals and assess HR program performance.

  • Proactively gain client feedback to improve HR service levels and alert stakeholders when an issue/project may have impact on other areas of HR or the company.

  • Drive, influence, advise, negotiate, facilitate and support the cultural and people aspects of organizational change, structures, people processes and business improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with business leaders and Corporate Recruiting Team to achieve workforce planning and staffing requirements

  • Provide talent management leadership including identification and engagement of high potentials, succession planning, career planning, and retention and talent assessment.

  • Respond to HR issues in a flexible manner and demonstrate the ability to define and implement creative solutions to complex issues.

  • Identify, design and facilitate employee/management training and workshops on HR related topics that support operations objectives both in office and in virtual settings.

  • Actively lead and participate in HR program design, policies and procedures including but not limited to: employment, compensation, benefits, affirmative action, employee relations, and performance management.

  • Provide exceptional client service to managers and employees in TRC offices.

  • Quickly identify and elevate non-routine and high risk issues for broader input.

  • Support internal risk management practices and lead company response to external OFCCP and similar audits.

  • Drive performance management process with sector leaders, practice leaders, managers and employees to achieve company objectives.

  • Provide compensation guidance as needed to sector leaders, practice leaders and managers.

  • Actively engage in new hire onboarding process.

  • Support M+A due diligence and integration activities.

  • Manage, develop, mentor, coach junior and mid-level HR team members either through direct report relationships or as colleagues

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology or related discipline.

  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred.

  • At least 10 years of related HR Business Partner experience, and progressively responsible HR positions in a professional services environment.

  • Strong customer- service, communication (written, verbal, and presentation), collaboration, influencing, facilitation, and decision making skills.

  • Strong employee relations capabilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand business complexities to effectively partner with managers to execute company goals and objectives.

  • Strong project and program management skills required and ability to serve as project manager on complex HR initiatives.

  • Must have excellent listening skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of high-quality materials with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Position requires the ability to work autonomously and to collaborate fully as a team player.

  • Flexibility to travel, average 20%

SUMMARY OF PURPOSE: The Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading Kasasa's human resources strategy including employee retention and engagement, performance and compensation programs, recruiting and onboarding, professional development, benefit planning, compliance, and all employee relations. You will get your hands dirty and be responsible for contributing to the creation of these solutions in tangible ways. * Recruiting: Manage overall recruiting processes. We need top talent, and that means partnering with managers to identify and understand job specifications and hiring needs, drafting/updating job descriptions, and ensuring the onboarding process meets company requirements and provides a welcoming new hire experience. * Retention: Developing retention & engagement strategies, and positively impacting the Kasasa culture in such a way that we are positioned to be a top 10 "Best Place to Work" in the annual Austin Business Journal poll. * Employee Relations: Provide guidance and support to all employees on HR-related issues. * Performance Management: Oversee and enhance performance management processes. Support a culture of increased accountability and performance while developing key operational and performance metrics that are quantifiable and specific. Align performance requirements with business goals and objectives. * Professional Development: oversee the creation of Kasasa University, a training and professional development program, developing curriculum and trainings on a variety of topics that will establish clear career path opportunities for employees. * Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure the company meets all federal, state, and local related compliance standards and requirements and that the company policies, procedures, and handbook are aligned with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. * Benefits: Manage the company's health and welfare programs and compliance needs including FMLA, ADA, ACA, as well as COBRA and HSA administration. * Payroll: Work with finance to oversee payroll and timekeeping processes. This includes wages, benefits, and taxes consistent with company procedures and federal, state, and statutory wage and hour laws and reporting requirements. * Compensation: Manage the compensation program. Conduct salary surveys, provide compensation analysis and recommendations, and ensure that compensation program parameters support the business objectives. * HR Process Improvement: Take what we've got and make it better. Define and execute HR strategies that continually improve HR systems, workflows, and processes.
