Title: Director, HR

Reporting To: CHRO

Direct Reports: 3

We are an international, risk management firm, with a rapidly expanding software division. SAI Global has 2,000 employees around the world.

The Director, HR manages and provides HR business partner guidance to the President of Risk & Learning (software unit), who runs a global business. This inspirational and seasoned individual given his/her practical experience will be agile to attend to matters arising throughout the region and provide strong overall leadership.

What you'll do

  • Business Partnership with Senior Management team to deliver exceptional HR performance under the leadership of the Chicago based HR CHRO drive the HR agenda.

  • Talent Management

  • Continually assess organizational strengths and improvement opportunities to drive a future oriented talent strategy.
  • Employee Communications & Engagement
  • Energizes the organization culture, framework for action and people engagement.
  • Acquisitions
  • Supports the acquisition of new companies, providing due diligence activities and integration projects to business standards.
  • HR Programs
  • Develop new human resources programs to meet legal requirements and changing organizational needs.
  • HR Partnerships - partner with HR professionals globally to align business requirements and leverage in-country expertise.

What we need

  • Bachelor's degree required. HR Certifications are a plus.

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience

  • Executive presence to partner with senior leadership team for the business unit

  • Ability to assimilate information quickly, efficiently and accurately from varying sources.

  • Results-Driven: Having a proactive, goal oriented approach to decision making.

  • Professional, yet warm personality. A good sense of humor!

Responsibilities * Leading multi-disciplinary projects with hydrologic, hydraulic, or water quality focus including interaction with staff and clients * Conducting hydrologic and hydraulic studies for riverine and coastal environments using current modeling software including: HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, HY-8, EPA SWMM, SRH-2D/SMS, and others. * Conducting scour analyses and designing scour counter measures * Supporting our clients with FEMA Letters of Map Change * Developing technical reports, design plans, construction documents, and specifications for a multitude of water resources related projects * Identifying and pursuing new business * Creating and expanding technical resources of staff * Mentoring, teaching, and guiding younger staff in their professional development Skills & Abilities * Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills * Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to conduct tasks independently * Ability to think critically and solve problems in both a team and independent work environment * ArcGIS, AutoCAD, & MS Office Suite Qualifications * BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related discipline * 8+ years of professional water resources engineering and analysis experience * Advanced understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling programs * Project management of relevant projects * Experience with ArcGIS and AutoCAD * PE required Please submit applications online.
