Position Overview

The Human Resources Director will play a key role by providing both practical and strategic support through daily interactions with key business leaders in Hubbell Commercial & Industrial (HCI) and specifically the Hubbell Industrial Controls and Commercial Construction Divisions. The partnership will foster strong relationships to drive company and business group strategic goals. The incumbent will be involved in projects to establish infrastructure and initiatives to enable rapid growth and scalability in the organization. This position will report to the VP, HR for HCI and the position will be based in Archdale, NC or Freeburg, IL. The HR Director will manage HR Managers and/or HR Business Partners at various locations and travel will be expected for about 15% of their time.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Directly manage assigned Human Resource employee located at other sites

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of Human Resources functions at these sites

  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws

  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

Skills and Experience

  • 6-10 years of proven Human Resources experience in a complex Business Partner role or broad HR leadership position

  • Bachelor's required, Master's degree preferred

  • Prior manager experience required

  • Multi-site responsibility; Ability to obtain data and analyze workforce trends

  • Strong analytical skills; Union experience a plus;

  • Strong leader, exceptional integrity, confident leader with good communication skills

Bachelors Degree

Position Overview Perform various tasks that are involved with assembling components and other sub-assemblies; working with various machines, some of which conduct heat in a metal bonding operation; and which may include testing. Duties and Responsibilities * Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures; Assemble product according to drawings/Bills of Materials/Work Instructions * Quality inspection; Audit/Test * Conduct and monitor machine operation * Read, interpret and follow mechanical assembly drawings * Tool/finished goods calibration and documentation * Packing; Process Paperwork for shipping * Inspect/repair RMA * Maintain line efficiency or work pace set by operating standards. * To assemble one part to another without causing poor quality or rejects. * Observe & practice all safety rules including but not limited to safely operate air tools, brazing machines & other equipment etc.. * Report problems with quality, processes, equipment & materials to Group Lead/Prod. Supv. * Provide hands on job function training to coworkers as needed. * Maintain a clean & organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions & to promote 5S. * Cross training in other areas when required. * Additional duties as assigned.
