Location: Will consider one of Anthem's major pulse points for the most qualified candidate. Anthem supports a hybrid workplace model with pulse point sites used for collaboration, community, and connection.

The Director Human Resources is responsible for providing senior-level HR support for members of the Behavioral Health Leadership team.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Leads and inspires creativity in team effectiveness and organizational design efforts.

  • Effectively navigates and influences within a highly matrixed environment.

  • Leads and develops HR staff, deploying resources to meet the needs of the various clients represented across geographies.

  • Leads and ensure focus on HR work related to onboarding, diversity & Inclusion, culture, total rewards education/execution, coaching on policies, and effective use of HR tools and resources for both managers and associates.

  • Heightened focus on associate engagement and retention strategies.

  • Provides field perspective during creation of enterprise HR tools/programs/processes.

  • Educates and adheres to HR policies and ensures enterprise consistency of best approaches.

  • Works closely with HR Solutions to ensure that all elements for successful implementation are tightly connected. Hires, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports.


Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS degree in related field and a minimum of 9 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MA/MS/MBA degree
  • HR-related designation.
