AMETEK Fluid Analysis is a business unit within the Process & Analytical Instruments Division. Headquartered in the Greater Boston area, the Fluid Analysis business unit is comprised of three business elements: Brookfield Engineering; a global leader in viscosity measurement and control of liquids and semi-solids, Spectro Scientific; a leader in the field of condition-based maintenance and oil in water analysis equipment, and Grabner Instruments; an industry leader in automatic petroleum testing equipment.

AMETEK Fluid Analysis is a business unit within the Process & Analytical Instruments Division. SUMMARY The Director, Human Resources reports to the Division Vice President, Human Resources and will have the overall HR responsibility for global Fluid Analysis Business Unit (FABU) which has manufacturing locations in Chelmsford Massachusetts, Middleboro Massachusetts, Chandler Arizona, Vienna Austria, and Subotica Serbia and has employees in The United States, Austria, Serbia, Germany, England, Ireland, Italy, France, Spain, China, India, Malaysia, Thailand, UAE, South Africa, and Brazil. Duties include working closely with the Fluid Analysis Business Unit Manager in the United States and the Fluid Analysis Senior leadership team to drive business and HR strategy; Attract, develop, and retain employees; lead restructuring and acquisition activities within the business; ensure that all HR activity is legally compliant, ethical, and done within the scope of Company policy. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Partner closely with the business unit leaders to implement Global Human Resources & business strategy.

Provide HR oversight and effective management for the entire FABU business. Manage, develop, and retain a high-functioning HR team and work closely with other AMETEK HR colleagues, international business partners, and the Division Vice President, Human Resources, P&AI Division. Establish a close working relationship with the FABU Senior Leadership Team.

Take a strategic HR approach to manage the HR function for the entire business, while “rolling up the sleeves” to meet the daily HR administrative and compliance activities for the business and AMETEK. Be a sounding board for the Business Unit Manager, the Business Managers, and the FABU Senior Leadership Team. Coach, counsel, regularly communicate, and advise management on various HR-relatedness and employee relation issues and be a business partner for the overall strategy of FABU.

Oversee the talent acquisition process for the AMETEK FABU business, including processes to ensure effective intake interviews with hiring managers, managing the requisitions, and recruiting program for AMETEK FABU’s global business, ensuring the entire AMETEK FABU HR team is using effective recruiting tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter to find talent for the business. Partner with Safety Committee on safety initiatives and compliance training. Take the lead with workforce investigations, improved performance/corrective actions program, and terminations within the business.

Lead annual leadership talent reviews, seek out opportunities to create and coordinate coaching and leadership programs for key talent, and ensure that selected leaders and Rising Talent have an effective coaching and mentoring program in place that meets on a cadence. Conduct routine pay equity audits and compensation studies to ensure that employees are treated consistently and fairly within the business. Drive sustainability and inclusion outreach and inclusion initiatives within the global business unit.

Foster and champion, a company culture of engagement and inclusion by driving social events throughout the business unit. Manage the monthly international headcount for the organization and liaison with the Vice President, BU Controller monthly regarding headcount and workforce planning. Design and implement BU level leadership development programs and work with the Division Vice President of Human Resources to create and track professional development activities for key leaders, rising talent, emerging talent, and other employees.

Effectively manage a variety of HR-related tasks including performance management review and tracking, merit increase cycle processes, managing the annual sales incentive bonus and other bonus programs, cyber security training programs, initiating payroll data changes, implementing company policies and compliance standards, and maintain records for the employees and business. Manage and harmonize HR policies and processes within AMETEK FABU and be a steward and advocate for following corporate practices and policies. Oversee employment, salary, and benefit administration within the BU based upon guidance from AMETEK Corporate.

Assist with merger and acquisition due diligence and post-acquisition integration. Other related duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent field of study is required. 8 years of Human Resources experience with evidence of increased responsibility and strategic impact with an organization. Must have prior experience managing people and working with other cultures is preferred. SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel experience is required. Must be a “hands on” self-starter with a bias for action with the ability to create energy and urgency within the team. Must effectively influence managers and leaders within the organization.

This would include being a contributor to the senior leadership team, regularly sharing opinions and ideas on solutions versus being a follower and implementing the ideas of others. Must have strong knowledge of U.S. employment law. Must be willing to conduct face-to-face team meetings outside of normal business hours with colleagues on different time zones.

Proven ability to lead an HR function in a global company. Demonstrated ability to implement strategic programs to advance business objectives. Must be a quick learner or experienced with HRIS systems such as SuccessFactors, data base management such as ADP enterprise, use of LinkedIn Recruiter and LinkedIn Learning.

Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally at least one week per quarter to meet the needs of the business (10-15% travel may be required). Candidate can work in either Chelmsford, MA or Middleboro, MA offices. Will be required to travel to both offices. Profile description:
