Ultimate Software is seeking a Director, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) who will be responsible for executing the People Strategy in support of the following organizations: IT, Campus Management (Facilities, Construction, etc.) and Security. This individual will deliver people and organizational solutions from an enterprise viewpoint and measure/monitor the needs of employees by building and developing relationships across all levels of the organization. The individual will utilize diagnostics to address and understand organizational dynamics, implement and refine long and short-term continuous improvement activities while managing day-to-day people issues.

Primary/Essential Duties and

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine HR strategies to respond to evolving business needs

  • Partner with leaders on small to large scale organizational re-alignments and other change management initiatives, including M&As

  • Provide leaders with ongoing consultation and coaching on a variety of people-related topics

  • Facilitate Year-End Performance Management & Compensation process for client group

  • Partner with Finance and business leaders to facilitate hiring plans and forecasts

  • Advise the business on regulatory employment law (in concert with Legal)

  • Provide consultation on strategic initiatives and complex employee issues and/or policies to strengthen overall organizational capability

  • Leverage the internal culture and mission/vision/values to inspire and engage employees

  • Create strong relationships and partnerships, leveraging the strengths of our Human Resources Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure outstanding and full-service support to the business

  • Champion the use of metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of people practices and proactively address or anticipate potential challenges to the business

  • Deliver high touch HR service model that inspires company-wide trust and value for the HR function

  • Other duties may be assigned from time to time

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or other related field

  • 10+ years of strategic human resources experience in multiple disciplines (Compensation, Benefits, Learning & Organizational Development, Employee Relations, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Diversity & Inclusion, EEO, etc.) with substantial expertise in a business partner capacity within a global and matrixed environment

  • 5+ years of partnership and influence with senior executives required

  • Able to lead the successful execution of people practices across multiple functions across the business

  • Have a point of view and the courageous leadership to professionally and constructively challenge assumptions even when unpopular all doing so while effectively maintaining strong relationships

  • Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills, including presentation and facilitation skills

  • Proven track record of effectively communicating with and influencing at all levels

  • Able to help leaders navigate through difficult situations

  • Strong judgment with ability to deal effectively with strategic issues as well as tactical operational details

  • Highly ethical and can be trusted to always put "People First"

  • Results and service-oriented individual who possesses a positive can-do attitude, continually striving for excellence

  • Puts needs of the business ahead of him/herself

  • Past management experience

  • Ability to work with groups and teams to identify issues and solve problems

  • Showcases diplomacy, professional maturity, and an ability to keep confidences

  • Customer service oriented and has an ability to listen and understand business priorities

  • High proficiency to expert in Microsoft Office Suite, primarily in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, or other related field

  • PHR/SPHR professional designation

  • Strong experience in regulatory employment law

  • Experience leading HR Business Partners and HR Generalists

Responsible for administering and implementing People Programs to include recruiting, compensation and benefits, performance management, team member relations, safety and employment practices. Ensures company policies and procedures are in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and regulation. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide guidance to peers with the latitude of established company policies * Recommend changes to policies and procedures that affect individual or global locations * May lead smaller scale projects or play a significant role in larger projects * Provide advice and recommendations on appropriate organizational structure and staffing * Actively recruit for open positions by preparing postings and ads, conducting job fairs, networking, and running appropriate checks as required.
