Director, HR Business Partner

Overview:

As an HR Director you will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management for your assigned business units. This position serves as a senior consultant to management on human resource-related issues and acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. This position partners across the HR functions to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HR Director also maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its mid-to-long range plans, culture and competition.

Dallas, TX - Relocation is available for this role

Responsibilities:

  • Consults with leaders, providing HR guidance when appropriate.

  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs and policies.

  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed.

  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) to enhance organizational effectiveness.

  • Works closely with management and employees to improve working relationships, communication, employee engagement, and increase productivity and retention.

  • Provides HR process and policy guidance and interpretation.

  • Ability to collaborate and partner with various HR functional teams (Global Mobility, Comp & Benefits, Recruiting, etc..) and other departments (payroll, accounting, etc.) in order to meet the various needs of the organization.

  • Provides guidance on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.

  • Assists in driving various HR initiatives: performance management, goal setting, merit review process, and manager and associate career development.

  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related business field.

  • 10+ years of proven work experience as an HR Business Partner

  • Experience working within a SaaS Technology organization

  • Excellent people management skills

  • Experience working with senior leaders and associates that are located remotely.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a team-oriented environment and work with both internal and external customers.

  • Full understanding of all HR functions and best practices

  • Negotiation, project management and change management skills

  • Knowledge of employment/labor law

  • Strong business acumen

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

  • Experience in the software industry a plus.

Audits database for HR Services HR Generalists, conducts service-related needs analysis; recommends new HR Services components, ancillary Paychex products, and updates to current HR Services components as appropriate. * Acts as liaison with branch, region, and corporate offices to resolve client issues regarding benefits, payroll, human resources, and safety. * Works with HR Services Area Manager to develop client and employee retention strategies. * Participates in special projects and assists HR Services Management as needed.
