POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for overall management and success of hospital provider services, including Hospitalists, Radiology, Pathology, Neonatology, Anesthesia, and Emergency Trauma Center. Provide overall direction and leadership for activities and operations associated with the provision of hospital provider clinical practice services in accordance with the hospital and Trinity#s strategic plan and objectives. The Director of Hospital Provider Services is responsible for 24/7 management of all aspects of those provider positions within the Provider Network. In addition, the director is responsible for maintaining productive working relationships with medical staff and hospital / peer leadership. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Licenses and Certifications Required None Educational Requirements Master#s degree preferred; bachelor#s degree REQUIRED. Experience Requirements 3-5 years of experience in hospital/clinic operations including 1+ years at a leadership level. Special Skills or Training Requirements Ability to lead effectively in a matrixed organization requiring elevated levels of collaboration, sound judgment, and significant practice management expertise. Demonstrates strong leadership, management, analytical, negotiation and conflict management skills. Knowledge of physician practice management and clinical operations issues that contribute to effective, efficient care structures and processes. Knowledge of health care payment systems and sound fiscal management practices. Demonstrates motivation and initiative in seeking continued professional growth and development. Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation. Ability to assess current situation and devise and execute necessary improvement/corrective actions. Ability to work collaboratively with multiple constituents. Ability to influence people in their opinions, attitudes, beliefs, and decisions. Ability to make decisions based on verifiable and/or measurable data or criteria. Ability to negotiate and mediate complex and often competing interests. Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications to diverse audiences.
