Position Information

Job Title Director, Healthy Careers Department Center for Community Outreach and Applied Research Pay Grade 13 Job Category Administrative Job Summary

The Healthy Careers initiative seeks to assist individuals in removing barriers and obtaining/ retaining employment in the healthcare field. This position will provide daily administrative and programmatic supervision for Healthy Careers contract employees in Hamilton County. This position will:

  • Maintain and interpret an in-depth data collection system that tracks all client activities enrolled in the program.

  • Gather and report statistical information for Hamilton County as required by the DHS/ETSU contract.

  • Conduct case reviews of the staff files every month to ensure compliance with DHS/ETSU policy and procedures.

  • Conduct periodic performance evaluations of contract employees.

  • Work with staff to guide them in developing proactive approaches to job development and to increase job placements.

  • Oversee all milestone requests and payments to participants and manage the working alliance between all partners (internal and external).

This position will begin in July 2024, located in Chattanooga TN.

The position follows the State of TN holiday and inclement weather policies. All annual leave must be expended before termination of the grant or upon exiting the university. No provision exists for the payout of any annual leave hours not used.

  • Knowledge of referral sources in the community.

  • Ability to communicate effectively.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Knowledge of HIPAA laws.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

OR

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of experience in social service programs.

  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience.

Salary $50,760-$63,265
