Director - Grooved Product Strategy

The Director - Grooved Product Strategy will develop, analyze, & recommend the overall corporate strategy & direction in providing Grooved Products to the customer base of Viking Group Inc. Evaluate available suppliers, products, & pricing to determine the optimum partner. Serve as the principal contact with regard to pricing/negotiation scenarios with respect to Grooved Product strategies. Advise the executive team on the optimum direction.

• RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as the primary point of contact with respect to Grooved Products with the Viking Group Inc. and keep abreast with trends, competitors, product offerings, sourcing and pricing in this industry.

• Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, purchasing, sales, fabrication within Viking & our customer base with respect to meeting the needs for Grooved Products throughout our network.

• Deliver insightful leadership to plan and implement our corporate strategies aimed at growing market share in our industry.

• Provide data driven insights & recommendations to the executive team and global business leaders.

• Lead negotiation efforts in forging any partnerships and/or distribution deals with Grooved Product manufacturers.

• Perform strategic market assessments in providing Grooved Products at Viking Group Inc.

• Assignment can be performed remotely understanding there will be significant travel based on potential strategies.

• EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience in evaluating the Grooved Product offering at Viking Group Inc.

• Minimum of 5 years experience in the Grooved Product industry & knowledgeable of foundry, manufacturing, & quality operations.

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in a business related discipline, MBA preferred.

• Verifiable record and recommendations which reflect your ability to execute a business plan dealing with a tangible product.

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, for the purpose of preparing and executing plans, leading discussions and meetings internally and externally with "C" level executives.

• Thorough understanding of financials and above average knowledge of business database software.
