Duties and Responsibilities:
Grant Development and Proposal Coordination (40%)
Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to secure funding and enhance college services and programs.
Manages the full cycle of grant processes, including research, writing, and submission of grant applications.
Develops and implements standardized forms, processes, procedures, and policies for grant application methodologies.
Evaluates and matches funding opportunities with the college's needs and priorities.
Prepares and submits effective grant applications to appropriate funding agencies.
Create and maintain systems (i.e. grants website and database) for dissemination of information about external funding opportunities and other grants-related information.
Set an annual calendar of grant development activities and proposals designed to support the accomplishment of the College's annual priorities.
Provide leadership, planning and coordination in the development and submission of proposals college-wide.
Grant Monitoring and Compliance (30%)
Monitors funding application requirements such as presentation, content, delivery methods, deadlines, and eligibility criteria.
Ensures compliance with all relevant guidelines from local, state, and federal funding sources.
Works closely with the college's finance office to ensure proper use and reporting of grant funds.
Prepares and presents progress reports to administration and funding sources.
Work with the grants/project managers, staff, and faculty to identify and resolve budget and compliance issues.
Track college resources allocated to grants (staff assignments, facilities, etc.)
Research and Resource Development (15%)
Researches and identifies public and private grant opportunities that align with the college's goals.
Maintains systems for the timely dissemination of funding opportunities to faculty, staff, and administration.
Develops an annual plan for grant proposal submissions based on the college's strategic priorities.
Training and Technical Assistance (10%)
Provides guidance and technical assistance in planning, writing, designing programs, budgeting, and evaluating grant proposals.
Conducts training workshops and one-on-one sessions to enhance grant writing and management skills among faculty and staff.
Assists faculty and staff with internal procedures and compliance requirements for grant implementation.
Advise project directors concerning grant management issues.
Strategic Planning and Reporting (5%)
Participates in strategic planning processes to align grant-funded projects with the college's initiatives and priorities.
Develops periodic reports on grant activities for presentation to the college administration and other stakeholders.
Manages the tracking of grant submissions and results, maintaining accurate records and databases.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the grant development function.
Maintains positive, proactive relationships with funding agencies, community organizations, and other partners.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Required Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven experience in grant writing, grant management, preparing grant proposals, and securing funding. Ability to prepare and manage budgets. Strong understanding of federal, state, and private grant guidelines and compliance requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong organizational and project management skills.

Preferred Experience: Knowledge of governmental agencies involved in education; experience with higher education institutions; experience working with corporate and private foundations; and expertise in strategic planning and assessment.
