BASIC PURPOSE: Engages with Government agencies as well as regional and local communities, representing all NCLH brands.
Represent NCLH on various panels which relate to issues that are occurring within local communities. Plan and execute a comprehensive Government Relations strategy that advances the companys goals and objectives with various Government agencies and communities.
Engage with Government Officials to better understand their needs.
Develop and manage NCLH strategy for strengthening relationship with Government officials and local communities in the respective port of calls.
Facilitate meetings between NCLH Management and Government Agencies.
Represent the company on various panels including CLIA, FCCA and other trade organizations in order to discuss relevant issues surrounding local communities in the ports in which we call into.
Ensure company is in compliance with Governmental contractual requirements.
Work with Government Agencies to create policy proposals.
Plan and implement events and other activities to support NCLH Government Relation goals; such as town halls, destination site visits and meetings.
Coordinate with SVP Commercial Development to assist with contractual relationships and business partnerships as needed.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, International Business or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of relevant background and work experience.
EXPERIENCE: 5 years experience with project management and/or operational leadership within a hospitality organization. 5 years experience in Destination/Government Development. Experience with global travel a plus. Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Excellent writing skills and able to effectively communicate with others.
Strong Public speaking skills. Ability to complete projects on time. Ability to improve processes, products and services through coordination of efforts with others, directly or indirectly.
Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills. Excellent creative abilities and strong global destination knowledge. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
Assimilates and summarizes details as appropriate to support decision-making. Ability to work under fast paced, multi tasked & deadline driven environment. Ability to operate in a team driven environment and possess the ability to accept immediate project responsibility.
