Our Director, Supply & Demand Planning creates, aligns, and communicates the supply plans and processes associated for our North American products. Reporting to the VP, Global Supply Chain, you will lead the Supply and Demand Planning teams, plus the production & inventory control functions for manufactured and sourced products. This is a pivotal position on the supply chain team and requires a complete understanding of manufacturing scheduling insight and knowledge, as well as, how process improvement can add value and reduce costs and complexity in the supply chain.

Location: 2500 Columbia Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17604 - temporarily working remote due to COVID
Director, Supply & Demand Planning Salary:
$150,000 - $170,000, based on experience (Gr. 15/16)

How youll contribute to the team:

Supply & Demand Planning

  • Lead a team of 2-3 managers who have 8-10 demand and supply planners on their teams
  • Manage Supply Planning team to improve closed loop communication that drive lasting results and the Demand Planning team to deliver best-in-class monthly forecast process
  • Create, align, and communicate a rolling 18-month supply plan on a monthly basis
  • Organize and lead monthly supply consensus with operations team to ensure product availability and inventory targets are met, fill rate targets exceeded
  • Develop analysis and exception reports to deliver optimized baseline Supply plans for each monthly planning cycle
  • Measure and analyze key metrics to determine corrective actions and lessons learned for continued accuracy of plan as well as incorporation of process continuous improvement for Supply planning excellence
  • Develop monthly aggregate plans (PSI) for specific product lines, key performance indicators, plus customer service and finished goods working capital targets
  • Develop and manage meaningful, accurate, and timely reporting mechanisms to improve operational efficiency and to provide superior management information to drive forward thinking decisions
  • Analyze and understand impact of new product introductions on planning processes and systems
  • Collaborate with production planning and supply chain partners to understand supply chain constraints ensure plans are developed to minimize disruption and service impact
  • Collaborate with Product Management to manage product life cycle through introduction, maturity and end of life planning
  • Collaborate with New Product Development, Sales and Marketing to develop monthly forecast and PSI for sample products and launches
  • Collaborate with sourcing team, suppliers, and build relationships with Big Box customers
  • Communicate and execute major planning changes throughout the organization
  • Approximately 15% travel

Requirements

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years' experience in Supply / Demand / Inventory / Production Planning / Materials Planning / Capacity Planning
  • Experience using SAP and a planning software
