About The Role

The Director of Global Planning is responsible for leading activities related to the demand planning, production planning, inventory control, material planning, within Spellman High Voltage. You will have significant authority in Strategic Planning, work cross-functionally to achieve organizational objectives and drive functional excellence and continuous improvement. You are a proven leader of senior leaders inspiring teams to deliver best in class results. You are accountable for and lead multiple, highly complex global projects. Lead Planning strategy & vision and drive execution to enable business value and productivity. Continuously improve planning processes to drive better business results. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage, direct, and lead the Production and Demand Planning functions across all Spellman Sites.

  • Creation of Site and Corporate shipment plans to provide a 3-month revenue outlook as well as a dynamic 12-month rolling Forecast that aligns with the business goals.

  • Develop Raw Materials, Finished Goods and Sub Assembly stocking strategies based on historical data and future/forecasted demand while aligning with the organization's goals and objectives.

  • Develop detailed site Production Plans to give greater visibility to Operations, Sales, and Site Leaders

  • Lead site based and global SIOP processes to include revenue, demand, and inventory forecasting for a rolling 18 month forecast in a make to order environment.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovative scheduling solutions.

  • Monitor and adjust scheduling decisions based on changing priorities, deadlines, and constraints.

  • Implement and maintain scheduling software, tools, and data governance to streamline and automate scheduling processes.

  • Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure that inventory, planning, and allocation processes are integrated and aligned with business goals.

  • Analyze historical data, trends, and future demands to forecast resource needs and potential scheduling challenges.

  • Develop metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure scheduling efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Lead a team of scheduling professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance management.

  • Identify opportunities/lessons learned and implement actions to continually improve efficiency and productivity from assigned tasks.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

  • Minimum 10 years of Planning and Supply Chain Experience and 5 years working in a leadership capacity.

  • Direct experience in electronics assembly and new product introductions. (High mix - Low volume environment preferred.)

  • Global end to end planning experience for Supply, Demand, Production

  • Up to 25% global travel (Able to travel to Mexico, USA, Europe, Asia)

  • Extensive experience in S&OP, Demand Planning, Supply Planning and Inventory Management and Materials Management.

  • Microsoft Project, Word, Power-point, Excel

  • Leadership qualities and excellent team-building skills

This position offers a hybrid work model, blending remote flexibility with required in-office days for optimal collaboration and productivity at Spellman High Voltage headquarters in Hauppauge, NY.

Our good faith estimates of the salary range for this role is:

Hauppauge, NY is $166,170 to $207.280.

Brownsville, TX is $146,230 to $182,400

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a highly competitive benefits package.
