The Director, Global Program Management will be based in Austin, TX. Director, Global Program Management will be responsible for one or more projects on a global basis that are interrelated from the perspective of customer, technology and or product platform and provide guidance, direction and support to the Project managers assigned to these projects. To ensure, through governance, that there is strong collaboration between the different functional areas involved in the project(s) ensuring effective planning and execution of project activities.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do

  • Manage customer relationship on a Global basis and will act as the key escalation point globally for all product programs, projects and operational performance issues.

  • Facilitate collaborative communication between all functional areas within a location / business group/vertically integrated organization.

  • Facilitate external two-way communication between Customer and Flex Sites.

  • Manage the process to ensure Customers expectations are clearly defined, understood and communicated across the appropriate Flex Organizations

  • Work with Design and Operations globally to ensure the appropriate Project Managers and project resources are assigned to all customer projects

  • Accountable for the performance of the FPLC project team(s) and Project manager(s) and ensure all project managers, program managers and project teams adhere to the Flex Product Life Cycle Process (FPLC) process no matter where the projects are initiated from.

  • Attend phase gate reviews where applicable (i.e. FPLC and Customer) and monitor and review project performance with the principle Project manager and Operations Program Manager ensuring timely resolution of any issues that may arise.

  • Provide the necessary leadership and support to Project Managers (design, NPI, lead etc.) to manage projects in line with project management processes and associated policies and procedures.

  • Ensure collaborative cross-functional project team participation to effectively initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control all phases of a project or subproject to ensure work efforts are executed on time, within budget, and according to stated requirements reliably and repeatedly.

Our Opportunity: The Program Director is an individual contributor role and will share our passion for technology, collaboration, innovation, and excellence. The Program Director oversees the coordination and administration of all aspects of the Customer Account and Offer Order Technology portfolios across projects and operating expenses including planning, organizing, and controlling cross organizational activities and deliverables. You will be responsible for creating project plans, leading scrum of scrums, collaborating across the cross-organizational team effort, managing risks, providing oversight, and documenting all aspects of projects and operating expense initiatives across a large portfolio. You will work closely with the other Program Directors and project managers of consuming products to align on product delivery. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience working with technology and business partners to produce results in a timely manner. The candidate will work collaboratively with all participants in software development projects to maintain all aspects of the overall software development lifecycle and ensure the on-time, quality delivery of software product releases.
