About The Role

FTI is looking for a mission-focused, strategic, and process-minded individual to manage the company's global procurement function. This individual will report to the Global Shared Services Leader on a day-to-day basis. The Director of Procurement is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall procurement strategy and operations. This role involves developing and implementing procurement policies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing of all goods and services. The Director of Procurement will work closely with key stakeholders including the CFO, Chief Accounting Officer, CIO, as well as Segment and Core Operations Leadership to align procurement strategies with the company's goals and objectives.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading formal sourcing efforts for materials and services within an international context.

  • An ability to effectively lead and develop high-performing procurement teams.

  • Strong process identification, documentation, and improvement skills, with a focus on driving efficiency and consistency across procurement operations.

  • Exceptional analytical abilities to perform cost and scenario analysis, benchmarking, and market trend evaluation.

  • Strong negotiation skills with track record of securing favorable terms and driving value in supplier contracts.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.

  • An ability to clearly document and communicate procurement requirements and processes to ensure alignment and transparency.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and oversee procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, ensuring cost-effective deals with high-quality suppliers.

  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities and overall procurement strategy to drive increased efficiency, consistency, and transparency in sourcing processes, spend management, reporting, and vendor management.

  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap within the framework of the company's culture and operating model.

  • Manage the development and execution of the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including requirements gathering, proposal evaluations, and vendor selection.

  • Ensure comprehensive and clear documentation of requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on procurement requirements and priorities, facilitating clear and effective communication.

  • Oversee the bidding process, ensuring transparency, competitiveness, and adherence to company policies.

  • Conduct cost and scenario analyses, benchmarking procurement performance against industry standards and best practices to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

  • Develop and implement robust negotiation strategies to secure deals with optimal terms, balancing cost, quality, and service levels.

  • Stay informed about market trends, continuously evaluating the market for capable suppliers and innovative solutions that meet the company's needs.

  • Develop and manage a robust vendor management process, including performance tracking, relationship management, and financial oversight, to ensure supplier performance and compliance.

  • Oversee the order management process, ensuring proper internal controls for purchase order generation and coordination with accounts payable.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and the implementation of procurement tools.

  • Provide support to procurement specialists during periods of high volume or staff absence, stepping in to assist with day-to-day order management activities as needed.

What You Will Need To Succeed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, or Finance

  • 10+ years of post-graduate professional experience in a procurement manager role, with a strong focus on strategic sourcing and vendor management.

  • Ability to travel to FTI office(s) as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree (MBA or equivalent)

  • Technical Certifications (CPSM, CIPS, etc.)

  • Proficiency in vendor management software and systems, with proven experience in developing requirements and successfully implementing procurement solutions.

  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with procurement-specific software and tools.

  • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and regulatory requirements, particularly in the context of IT procurement and international supply chains.
