Global Distribution Sales is seeking a Director of Business Development to drive programs and capabilities supporting solutions and architecture sales through Cisco's distribution channel. The person will be responsible for collaborating across Cisco functions to coordinate and deliver comprehensive sales, marketing and enablement programs to accelerate sales and capture market share through Cisco's Distributors.
The Distribution route to market is chartered with serving the indirect Cisco Partner. This route to market is Cisco's fastest growing over the last two years and a key part of Cisco's growth strategy.
This role will be responsible for developing sustained interlock with Architecture Sales teams to develop joint Sales, Partner and Distribution initiatives. Additionally, collaboration with Engineering to drive a "design for distribution" philosophy of product management is required. As a leader, the ideal candidate will be expected to develop a team of Business Development Managers into high performing and collaborative next generation leaders.
Design and develop near and long term revenue plans and drive demand through both strategic and tactical initiatives with Cisco Distributors.
Build the sales growth plan for Cisco Distributors.
Engage with Distributors and Partners to drive Cisco awareness and brand preference through sales, marketing enablement and profitability programs.
Ensure enablement of Sales Teams to understand and position the technology and the impact that the solution will have on the customer's business outcome.
Understand the market competition and position Cisco solutions to Distributors and Partners reinforcing Cisco's end-to-end architecture.
Work closely with the product teams to introduce new technology into the global distribution landscape and ensure that new offerings are most effective with distribution capabilities.
Develop trusted advisor relationships with Distributor executives to ensure Cisco mindshare and brand preference.
Proven track record with minimum of 10 years selling networking solutions
Experience with channel business models and sales programs
Ability to map business solutions to technology and to assemble relevant and measurable business cases
BS/BA degree or equivalent
Experienced account sales management
Strong collaboration skills
Strong customer facing and relationship building skills
