DIRECTOR, GLOBAL DIGITAL
In an effort to increase brand awareness and visibility in the digital space, we seek a digital professional to lead the implementation of effective and prestige, high-quality digital programs at a global scale.
The Digital Director will play a leadership role in providing strategic guidance and digital thought leadership to deliver the most effective and innovative digital plans. This position will develop the career paths of supporting planning staff, as well as play an integral role in supporting and delivering company values and goals on a daily basis. This position will effectively leverage experience, knowledge and skills to encourage innovative thinking and set challenging team goals and objectives balancing brand, company and team needs.
This position will lead the team in the scope, execution and delivery of digital programs that drive brand awareness, acquisition, engagement and traffic in the digital space to online and in-store properties.
We are seeking a well-rounded, digital-savvy professional with experience across paid digital media, 360 digital campaign management and a full understanding of mobile, social media, and ecommerce properties, ideally with a background in luxury to lead and evolve the digital presence that are aligned to the broader strategies and objectives of the business.
Develop the Global Digital Strategy Plan for the brand, in alignment with the overarching 3-year Global Marketing vision
Coordinate with Local Marketing brand leaders to ensure that programs and strategies are executable within the local markets
Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across the organization
Drive scheduled stakeholder communications on key initiative wins and opportunities, respond to concerns, and solicit feedback. Engage leadership to develop and execute action plans to address gaps
Act as key digital leader in quarterly executive meetings by presenting campaign strategies and long-term vision for digital growth
Vet and brief digital agencies, and manage program strategies, asset development, market rollout, performance analytics, reporting and the budget for all digital program
Collaborate with the Global Media team and key third-parties to validate ongoing and evolving best practices to ensure that all assets produced are turnkey for markets
Manage global digital recommendations with marketing, media, and PR, including campaign strategy, execution, optimization, and evaluation in addition to value-add programs with a digital element
Manage relationship with regional/local leaders in the markets, and oversee digital team in day to day communication
Develop and maintain competitive tracking for key brands across fragrance and beauty channels including website, social media, paid media, email and retailer activities
Keep abreast of new technologies/vendors and identify key emerging opportunities for brands
Motivate and support growth of digital manager and recommend actions to manage individual career path
Oversee daily actions of direct reports and train in media and marketing disciplines as well as in the specifics of the client's business, industry, and leadership
BS/BA in business, marketing or related field
7+ years of experience working in digital marketing, digital media and/or e-commerce environments with a focus on digital campaign development and social media.
Prestige/luxury brand experience preferred
Digital and social savvy with a passion for digital innovation
Demonstrated ability to execute social/digital campaigns
Exceptional project management and analytical skills with experience in social and digital analytics
Knowledge of digital media including display, search, social and mobile marketing advertising
Understanding of the e-commerce business landscape
Experience with social media and online communities; experience launching and driving social media campaigns
Ability to analyze data, summarizing stories and insights for media, websites and social engagement strategies
Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain good rapport with internal and international teams as well as external vendors and handle situations with confidence, tact, and resourcefulness
Self-starter and highly motivated; capable of working independently, yet collaboratively, within an entrepreneurial environment
Highly organized and able to multi-task, while maintaining clear and proactive flow of communication and ownership of tasks
Ability to "dive in", manage details and a "get it done" mentality
