Crocs, Inc. is seeking a Director of Global Corporate Communications to lead all aspects of external corporate brand awareness initiatives and communications. This role has heavy emphasis on supporting the long-term strategy and growth of global executive thought leadership, crisis mitigation and business/brand reputation management across the Crocs, Inc. Enterprise, inclusive of both Crocs and HEYDUDE brands.

This role requires experience coaching and collaborating with executive leadership, and will be responsible for leading a team in the development and implementation of a global corporate communications strategy, while directing the evolution of our corporate Enterprise messaging in partnership with key internal partners. This leader will serve as point on all global business media opportunities, ensuring the organization is sharing consistent, impactful business communications to key audiences around the globe. This must be accomplished all while being mindful of protecting and enhancing Enterprise brand reputation! A critical responsibility of this role includes partnering closely with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to provide support during critical business moments, including crisis situations, earnings reporting, and ESG advancements and landmark markings.

Are you a top-tier corporate communications professional with a history of crafting outstanding corporate strategy and positioning? The position will live within the Global Marketing Team and reports to the Sr. Director, Global Communications. This role is global in scope with the responsibility of coordinating communications strategies through all regions of the company, including the Americas, EMELAI and APAC.

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with Sr. Director, Global Communications to develop and drive transformative corporate and brand reputation communications strategies in alignment with our current and long-term business goals.

  • Serve as a partner on the Enterprise crisis response team and support the ongoing evolution of issues management processes across the globe.

  • Collaborate with partners to continuously update business narratives to further strengthen brand reputation and drive Enterprise business news with key external audiences.

  • Serve as trusted advisor and collaborator with executive leadership across Crocs, Inc., developing thought leadership platforms to drive expertise and brand/business positioning by way of media opportunities, speaking engagements, presentations, LinkedIn postings, etc.

  • Build well-crafted, engaging communications for key external partners and media in support of strategic company initiatives including earnings media, ESG announcements and milestone markings, business goal advancements, regional breakthroughs, etc. Build positive professional relationships with various members of the media.

  • Actively supervise Crocs, HEYDUDE and macro media trends in footwear and related categories, and work with cross-functional teams to swiftly react or activate as applicable.

  • Provide measurements and analysis of Corp. Comms effectiveness to guide delivery of actionable recommendations to improve performance and drive greater awareness.

  • Lead annual planning of global communications playbook, including coordinating evolution of global and regional objectives and initiatives that drive the Enterprise forward with strategic external audiences.

  • Lead at least one direct report internally to provide leadership and directive around role and day-to-day responsibilities, providing growth opportunities and mentorship, and facilitating quarterly reviews and performance feedback.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • BS or BA or equivalent experience in public relations, mass communications, journalism or related field

  • Minimum of 12-15 years of PR agency or corporate brand experience with experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Footwear industry experience and/or globally-scaled experience are both a plus, but neither are requirements!

  • Track record of working closely with executives and comfortably leading both proactive and reactive business driving opportunities

  • Experience developing and implementing communications plans, tactics and responses that protect brand reputation

  • Ability to lead regional teams in development and execution of global strategies

  • Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills including organizational skills, project planning abilities, timeline management, results-orientation and social skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, internal and external

  • Requires thorough knowledge of corporate communications and executive communications principals

  • Ability to manage time, multi-task and prioritize duties, operates with urgency

  • Sophisticated analytical skills, ability to translate complex data and trends into actionable strategy

  • Experience leading team members and contributing to their growth and development

Salary or Pay Range: $160,000 - $175,000

Workplace Persona: Collaborator

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.

This position is eligible to participate in a company incentive program.
