The Director, Brand for THV is an important position within the Edwards Lifesciences' TAVR organization. The Director, Brand will partner across the various areas within the marketing team (product, upstream, conference, therapy development) to lead in the creation of various campaigns and be a steward of our brand, externally with our various stakeholders/customers from around the world. This person currently has 7 reports in this marketing function.
Lead and develop engaging campaigns for the Edwards TAVR portfolio among implanting and referring physicians and patients
Select and liaise with various vendors and agencies to support our overall marketing strategies.
Be responsible for media buys, measure the effectiveness of various campaigns. Analyze, report and provide recommendations to internal stakeholders
Direct line management responsibilities including a robust strategic talent development plan in alignment with functional growth strategies and responsibility for the desired culture of the department
Direct activities with overall departmental responsibility of developing systems, planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, recommending and implementing changes to methods through several direct reports that may include people manager
Mitigate/eliminate risk, direct and communicate highly complex strategies which include negotiations with internal and external parties for multiple complex concurrent major products, campaigns, or launches
Select and qualify vendors, project management of multiple projects
Recommend and measure the effectiveness of digital programs through the collection, analysis, reporting, and utilization of feedback
Partner closely with cross-functional teams including: sales, compliance, legal, regulatory, corporate branding, regional and global marketing counterparts
A bachelor's degree with a minimum of 15 years or a master's degree and 13 years of marketing experience is required
Experience working in an advertising or digital agency with related experience working in/or with clients in the pharma, medical devices, or healthcare industry required
Travel requirements: Willing to travel up to 30% of the time including overnight and weekend travel
Demonstrated ability to execute against strategic and tactical plans under short timelines
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Self-driven with strong organizing and planning skills
Highly collaborative with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent organizational & project management skills
Ability to build productive and collaborative relationships, as well as ability to influence, motivate and lead without authority
Excellent written & verbal communication and presentation skills are essential
