Job Description:

The Director, Global Account Management located in San Jose, CA will be responsible for supporting, developing, implementing and managing account strategies in order to provide the business with optimal quality, pricing & delivery performance. P&L responsibility for managing strategic accounts and will establish and maintain good strategic customer relationships in order to achieve maximum advantage for the company with the delivery of a quality product to its customers.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:

  • Manage account level P&Ls. Conduct monthly financial reviews and forecast reviews with our factories and finance organization.

  • Manage customer relationship on a Global basis and will act as the first escalation point globally for all product programs, projects and operational performance issues.

  • Define the goals in areas of responsibility for short and long term performance. Oversee implementation of goals so that Flex can continue to be best in class.

  • Optimize the utilization of resources to maximize global strategies and policies to enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Facilitate and enhance cross-functional relationship to maximize customer satisfaction criteria and operational performance.

  • Be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships to create and sustain product demand.

  • Define strategies and policies to maximize performance and develop overall organization awareness.

  • Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

  • Provide the necessary leadership and support to site Project Managers (design, NPI, lead etc.) to ensure programs are executed to plans and customer issues are handled properly.

  • Manage commercial issues for individual product programs and across product programs, including quarterly price negotiations, cost recovery for product/program changes, RFQ process for new programs, and contracts.

  • Ensure collaborative cross-functional teamwork to effectively initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control all phases of the product programs from RFQ through development, NPI, and ramp to stable production.

Here is some of what you'll need (required):

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences or business

  • +7 years of progressively advancing account management and/or business development experience

  • Ability to travel as required by the needs of the business.

  • Understanding of global site management (U.S., Europe, Latin America, and Asia), driving a consistent message and strategy across all sites.

  • Experience in high volume consumable/consumer products with global distribution channels.

  • Track record of successfully ramping multiple global sites simultaneously
