Job Title: Director Front End Development

Position Summary:

As a Director Front End Development, you will oversee and support the development of a world class engineering team. The Director Front End Development is an essential collaborator with Workforce Solutions teams in the definition and implementation of the new generation of product experiences. The Director Front End Development position is responsible for providing technical leadership in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

As part of the Workforce Solutions team, the Director Front End Development will lead a team of 10-12 software engineers building our mission critical products experience. The Director Front End Development will manage a team of talented 10-12 front-end developers who tackle complex technical challenges in our journey through transformation.

Additional responsibilities of the Director Front End Development include:

  • Lead the planning, execution and success of complex technical projects

  • Work closely with product management to ensure we're building the best products

  • Foster an environment of definition and adoption of best practices, from frameworks to APIs and back end design and development

Required Skills of the Director Front End Development:

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience, with ideally 5 years in a manager role

  • Strong technical and design capabilities

  • Proficiency with JavaScript core language features and functionality including ES6 and ES7 features

  • Experience with at least one modern client side JavaScript framework or library (React, Angular, Ember)

  • Deep understanding of Portals Technologies

  • Experience working with APIs and back end applications

  • Understanding of practical uses of responsive design and HTML, the use of tools like Sass and authoring modular CSS (CSS modules or PostCSS)

Preferred Skills of the Director Front End Development:

  • Portal Technologies: Liferay and Bootstrap

  • Software development patterns like OOP, Flux/Redux, Modular, MVVM, MVC and Observer

Core Competencies of the Director Front End Development:

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • A crafty problem solver in a fast-paced environment who works to find win-win solutions

  • Knowledge of best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and deployment

Education:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience

This is a fulltime, benefit eligible position. Position Purpose: The Business Development Director is responsible for strategically planning and implementing outreach efforts in Metro St. Louis, Missouri and surrounding states. The position will focus on patient acquisition, business development, promoting organizational awareness, community and volunteer relations and developing strategies and business plans. The Business Development Director is responsible for developing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with current and potential referral sources, including new physicians, rural physicians, physician office staff, clinics and other providers in the target markets. Develops and maintains a comprehensive contact list and manages system for increasing loyalty and satisfaction with current and potential referral sources. Conducts ongoing market assessments and provides intelligence to hospital leadership and departments on physician needs. Suggests performance improvement and marketing strategies based on physician feedback and provides follow-up to physicians. The successful candidate will consistently meet hospital utilization goals for referrals, outpatient visits, admissions, and surgeries per month. Reports regularly on activity level and monitors outcomes. Tracks and analyzes referral data. Develops and presents comprehensive summary report to department and hospital leadership. Demonstrates superior knowledge of the hospital's and competitors' strengths and weaknesses regarding service lines, technology, and physicians; and provides innovative solutions for gaining a competitive edge. Ensures day-to-day activities support hospital's long term strategic plan. Additionally, the incumbent will help identify business opportunities for the hospital to build volume. Collaborates with Board of Governors, Public Relations, Administration, Medical and Patient Care staff. Position requires flexible schedule and travel in own vehicle within St. Louis City, St. Louis County and surrounding area. Note: This is not an all-inclusive list of this job's responsibilities.
