UWMC Essential Services has an outstanding opportunity for a Director, Food and Nutrition Services, UW Medical Center. This individual will direct, evaluate, coordinate, plan, organize and facilitate the operational, financial, clinical, quality improvement and personnel activities of Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) for the UW campus of UW Medical Center and for the Northwest Hospital campus which will be known as UWMC Northwest Campus beginning January 2020.
The Director will also collaborate with Harborview Medical Center on UW Medicine initiatives of mutual interest. This individual will provide direction, coordination and leadership to all Patient Food Service, Clinical Nutrition, and Retail Services provided to patients, visitors, faculty and staff at two hospital locations.
Master's degree in dietetics, food and nutrition, health care administration, business, hotel/restaurant management, or related field AND at least five (5) years of senior management experience directing Food and Nutrition Services in large complex medical centers. Additional related experience may substitute for the Master's Degree.
Registration with The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred.
Experience managing multi-site operations preferred.
Experience managing major food service construction/remodeling projects preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.
