The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis will leverage strong accounting background to analyze financial and operating data while developing and managing tools to improve performance management. This role will administer the financial performance management process as well as assist in improving the forecasting process. This position will interact with senior management as well as regional and departmental leadership.

Job Detail:

  • Build credibility and partnerships by providing financial intelligence, being responsive and solution-oriented, and communicating and challenging business units appropriately
  • Responsible for providing financial analysis for multiple internal constituencies - including supplier spend analysis and trending, revenue optimization, business operations performance, global productivity reviews
  • Create and maintain procedures for identifying areas of opportunities in FROSCH performance through identification of trends with supporting analysis (Identify/develop key metrics for performance management)
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting cost management initiatives to management
  • Develop, prepare and manage the planning, forecasting, and analysis function of all company divisions
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of the financial and reporting systems

  • Analyze supplier activities and market share changes in order to prepare projections on financial outlook, and provide support during future supplier proposals or negotiations
  • Support procurement/vendor management team through benchmarking, cost management, alternative sourcing and supply chain management studies
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales and operating expenses. Identify risks and opportunities, report on variances to company outlook, and partner with business unit leaders on action plans


  • Bachelor's degree preferred in related field or equivalent combination or experience and education
  • Five (5) plus years of experience in financial planning and business analysis
  • Travel industry experience preferred
  • Strong financial acumen required with the ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
  • Solid financial modeling experience required, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel, Access, Power BI

The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis will have a critical role in helping lead the Company's financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes. This person will collaborate with Management across the enterprise and their teams to establish key measures for business strategies in line with the Company's long-term financial model. In addition, this person will help ensure that efficient and accurate financial forecasting, planning, budgeting processes including underlying financial modeling and systems are in place. Areas of emphasis will include financial modeling, industry and peer company research, financial and operational analysis and written and oral communication. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: * Presenting, analyzing, and interpreting relevant financial data to Management, and/or business units and other line managers. * Assist Management in providing leadership to the FP&A organization, developing and championing change to processes, people and systems as needed. * Supporting with preparation/review of materials for quarterly earnings release. * Partnering with specific lines of business and other corporate staff functions to collect and analyze financial data. * Analysis of business plans and forecasts and providing analytic support to Investor Relations. * Assist with the development and analysis of the annual budget and operating plan and developing and enhancing underlying supporting financial models. Qualifications * The ideal candidate will have 10+ years progressive finance experience, preferably with a focus on the media and entertainment industry. * Must be able to demonstrate prior success leading and managing a finance function. * Proven ability to work efficiently, effectively and proactively in a fast paced deadline orientated environment. * Must have outstanding modeling skills, project management, and reengineering experience. Requirements * 10+ years of experience in large global organization, prior financial planning and analysis experience a plus * Strong analytical and mathematical skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that will enable interaction with diverse set of constituents across various functions and levels of the organization * Exceptional leadership and project management skills * Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or similar areas of study, MBA or CPA preferred Time Warner, Inc.
