Under the direction of the Executive Director, Financial Planning and Analysis, the Director will be responsible for the development and management of the annual operating plan and capital plan for the system, including Hospital, non-hospital, and corporate divisions. Complete routine financial, labor, and volume standardized reporting. Establishes an integrated financial plan of operation (short and long-term) system-wide. Participates and supports strategic planning across the organization.
Job Description:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:
Interact proactively and collaboratively with executive leadership teams regularly.
Lead the overall budget and resource planning process including, but not limited to, the annual planning cycle, periodic forecasting, and scenario analysis, in conjunction with ad-hoc analytics and initiatives for the various business segments.
Work with leaders to build clear, accurate, and reliable predictive forecast modeling for multiple functional areas
Liaise with leaders to obtain a detailed understanding of the annual budget, monthly reporting information and forecast, and identify strategic opportunities and/or risks.
Analyzes capital and business plan requests, and reviews the financial impact of these requests, including, but not limited to, internal rate of return, net revenue impact, etc.
Work with the Executive Director, FP&A System Services to assist in the development of a strategy and plan for the department, which includes strategic and transformational projects to drive continual automation and work reduction tools and processes to support effective and accurate financial planning across the company.
Provide high-quality and timely analytical support for projects, strategic initiatives, and other ad-hoc requirements.
Work closely with financial leadership to support the financial analysis needs of each area.
Manages, evaluates, and coordinates those employees who report to this position.

Licensure, Certification & Registration:
Experience:
Five to ten years of progressively increasing experience in healthcare finance.
Direct knowledge in practice re-engineering, cost accounting or financial analysis.
Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies.
Direct experience in developing a complete business plan.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Excellent analytical skills. Competent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Strong proven leadership, project management, and execution skills
Superb communication skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrated change agent, self-starter and team player
Able to work independently and handle multiple priorities
Capable of leading the charge (sometimes from behind) and thinking "out of the box". Comfortable challenging the status quo while able to work diplomatically to keep stakeholders engaged
Able to persuade others and gain commitment
Understands the context of assignments and tasks and is able to be flexible and adaptable to changing roles & priorities
