Summary:
This position is intended to assist Division VPs in oversight of hospital operations. The position is expected to assist hospital Chief Financial Officers and Chief Executive Officers with corporate policies and procedures and any other areas needing assistance or direction on a daily basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the completion of all financial reporting in the Division. These items include Run Rate Analysis, Mid-month Projection, Flash, and special request items from different areas of the corporation.
Heavy involvement in preparation of Quarterly Projections, Mid-month projections and Final Month-end numbers. This can include contractual package review, working with reimbursement on month-end exhibits, assisting CFO's with explanations on variances, impromptu site visits to explore month-end discrepancies where needed.
Responsible for going onsite to complete and/or assist a hospital with month-end close.
Contact person for the Division on questions related to corporate reporting for the corporation and the Division.
Financial Analysis
Trending Reports
Responsible for updating Monthly Operating Review formats with Division input.
Participation in Monthly Operating Review conference calls.
Monitor and assist hospitals on Margin Improvement and Revenue Enhancement Plans.
Responsible for the Division Policy and Procedure Manual.
Hospital Visits (Visit Reports/Recommendations).
Responsible for verification of hospital budget input.
Monitor staffing and PMR productivity standards.
Periodic audits as deemed necessary.
Service line analysis/facility evaluations.
Qualifications:
Bachelors in Accounting/Finance
Chief Financial Officer experience required, preferably in a for-profit setting.
Essbase, Excel, and Access
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Certificates/licenses: none required
Requires the ability to multi task, meet deadlines, and have the flexibility to accommodate special events/projects as they arise.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
