The Finance Director will be responsible for supporting the Valencia site leadership team working as a liaison and business partner to the site operations and sales while leading the CCT businesses Finance Teams in Valencia and Nogales. This is one of the largest areas of CCT with approximately $160 million in annual sales. This role will also assist the BU Controllers of Aerospace and Industrial with execution of the annual operating plan and business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the process to define the Annual Operating Plan, Monthly Forecast and Monthly Reporting.

  • Interface with the BU Controllers, VC President and Leadership Team, General Manager and other Corporate Financial Teams.

  • Lead continuous improvement and drive a highly efficient financial organization

  • Analyze the deviation between plan and actual; support action plans as necessary.

  • Be part of Business Continuity Plan and Enterprise Risk Assessment.

  • Support Business Leader decision process based on analysis, simulations and risk assessment.

  • Deploy proper internal controls and risk assessment within the business, monitor controls action plan, remediate all gaps uncovered by Internal Audit

  • Manage Financial Reporting and support the information flow to HQ

  • Ensure transparency and clarity of financial reporting

  • Assure quality and on time monthly information and analysis to site, BU, Value Center and Corporate.

  • Guardian of the rules: Assure that General Accounting and Administrative Controls are being followed; immediately report any gap or control issues as per USGAAP and Sarbanes Oxley

  • Lead delegation of authority process, analyze and approve capital investment and projects, customer quotations and purchase orders to vendors as per DOA Issue and approve Management Representation Letter

  • Participation and provide support during internal and external audits.

  • People development through identifying and retaining talent

  • Develop and drive product line and customer profitability analysis. Influence peers on business decisions by offering good analysis, facts and ideas.

  • Manage working capital, interfacing with peers and service areas (in special, inventory level, accruals, accounts receivable and A/R past due).

  • Establish realistic budgets

  • Use financial and quantitative information to manage, work with facts;

  • Identify and implement effective and efficient processes in Finance Department

  • Support sales strategy

o Ensure profitable growth and maintain robust processes around new business quotations

o Support deployment of VBCE (price / growth strategies)

KPI's

  • P&L (Sales, COGS, GM, SG&A, Other Income and OI).

  • Working Capital (AR, AP, Inventory, Capital Investment) and Cash Flow Analysis.

  • Balance Sheet.

  • Investment results (ROI and Pay Back Period).

  • Reporting entities consolidation.

  • Six Sigma or continuous improvement savings/efficiency improvements On time delivery of Financial Reports

Skills and Experience

Skills and Experience :

  • 10+ Finance experience in a manufacturing environment;

  • 5+ Experience with cost accounting and operations support

  • Experience with high mix/low volume manufacturing environment preferred

  • Knowledge of the ITT business and / or markets that we participate

  • Solid knowledge of USGAAP and Sarbanes Oxley;

  • Experience working for international, multinational and/or public listed companies

  • Proven experiencing building and developing strong Finance team

  • Six Sigma Certification or general continuous improvement practice desirable

  • Experience in financial analysis and projects in complex environments

  • Knowledge of Legal and Tax areas of finance

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure and with multiple demands

  • Experience with ERP systems

  • Ability to find and implement best practices from other group companies; six sigma

  • Spanish language fluency desirable

  • CPA/CMA or similar certification highly desirable

Leadership Experience:

  • 10+ Management and Leadership experience

  • Demonstrated experience leading cross functional projects

  • Unquestionable Integrity, strong principles ability to lead by example.

  • Experience with delegation, decision making and goal setting.

  • Ensure proper level of support and guidance to Plant Controllers

  • Experience developing, coaching and mentoring a team

  • Familiar with negotiation expected results and deadlines;

  • Develop and implement coaching, succession planning and talent development

  • Provide and implement vision for the finance team

The Director of Finance and Accounting has full accountability for directing the Finance function across the sites of Valencia, CA and Nogales, Mexico, which manufacture Specialty products. He/she will be expected to work effectively across all site functions including operations, sales, marketing, engineering, IT, HR and business development in achieving the company's financial objectives.
