The Director, Feedlot and Stocker Segment, Treatment and Performance within the U.S Cattle and Equine division of Zoetis, is responsible for leading all marketing efforts and U.S. planning for currently marketed and new Treatment and Performance products and for translating the needs of the Feedlot and Stocker customer segment. In coordination with other Marketing Directors, he/she is responsible for leading Strategic Planning efforts for Cattle. This Director will be part of the Beef business leadership team, partnering with sales and technical leaders to direct and execute the Beef plan. Key brand responsibility includes Draxxin, Advocin, Synovex, MGA, Actogain and CTC. Key strategic planning responsibility will be to take a leadership role in implementing C&E five-year strategic plan, making recommendations for updates and providing metrics to the C&E Leadership Team. Reporting to the Executive Director of Cattle Marketing, the Director will supervise a team of 2+ marketing professionals and will be a member of the C&E Marketing Leadership Team. He/she will have P&L responsibility for products noted above.
The Director will oversee the development and implementation of customer segment and therapeutic area / brand strategies and will lead the operating plan process for assigned products. Primary challenges with this Customer Segment and Therapeutic area include planning for further consolidation of customers and competitors, substantial generic entries and new product introduction. He/she will also coordinate with Veterinary Medical Research and Development, CD/LCI and Business Development on lifecycle plans and strategies to ensure a robust pipeline of new products and line extensions, and mitigation of Loss of Exclusivity impacts. For Strategic Planning, the Director will assemble a process to monitor progress against the established plan. Collaborating with other Marketing Directors, the Director will make recommendations based on changes to the external or internal environment as these changes may impact the in-place plan. The Director will oversee a team of marketing professionals and will be responsible for the development and talent planning for these colleagues.

LEADING THE BUSINESS
Feedlot and Stockers, Treatment and Performance
Develop and execute the strategic marketing plans for the Treatment and Performance product lines including Producer, Veterinarian, Nutritionist and Channel communications
Develop and execute the strategic marketing plans for Feedlot and Stocker segments
Develop and deliver the three-year financial operating plan
Lead, coach and develop a team of Marketing Managers responsible for all aspects of the Therapeutic Area and Customer Segment marketing mix
Define and provide ongoing developmental opportunities for marketing team
Manage the P&L by ensuring key brand revenues, profit margins and expenses are in line with division and company expectations
Prepare and present therapeutic area reviews and business updates to Senior Management
Collaborate with Business Development and CD/LCI to facilitate the acquisition and development of new products and line extensions.
Lead the therapeutic area commercial lifecycle planning efforts to ensure new data and formulations optimize the lifecycle of current brands in face of new competition and potential generics
Maintain and continue to bring new talent into the marketing organization
Collaborate with Sales and Technical Services Management to ensure complete alignment of business strategy and execution at customer level.
Develop and implement successful segment, therapeutic category and associated brand plans which will deliver performance expectations and drive company growth
Become the "business owner" of the C&E five-year strategic plan
Develop and own the process for updating the plan based on changes to the external and/or internal environment.
Collaborating with other Marketing Directors, make recommendations to the plan as warranted
Provide the CELT with updates to progress against the plan.
Identify and prioritize resource needs for plan implementation and optimization.
Assesses and coaches individual and team performance to exceed business goals.
Coaches and directs Marketing Manager's in developing comprehensive marketing objectives, strategies and plans and in identifying and including key stakeholders throughout the process.
Actively coaches direct reports to optimize their performance and develop their capabilities for advancement and future opportunities.
Fosters an environment where coaching and feedback is open, ongoing and consistent.
Leverages talent and resources across the marketing team and across BU's
Feedlot and Stocker, Treatment and Productivity segments contribute approximately $400M of sales (approx. 70% of beef) within a highly competitive environment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BS /BA and relevant experience required. MBA preferred
10+ years of related experience and a proven record demonstrating successful branding, strategic planning, and communications management.
Extensive Animal Health industry knowledge including in depth understanding of Feedlot and Stocker, Treatment and Performance segments and key industry challenges and opportunities.
Strong external KOL relationships and examples of industry leadership.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Strong financial and market analysis skills and proven ability to manage budgets and expenses.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in developing and executing brand strategies, programs and tactics to achieve and surpass market share and revenue targets.

PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Based in Parsippany, NJ office - US Operation HQ.
Travel required within the US up to 20-25% time
Some weekend and evening work may be expected
Occasional trips to global planning meetings may be required
