POSITION SUMMARY:


Responsible for the overall direction and management of the hospital plant facilities, maintenance and engineering functions.


JOB SPECIFICATIONS:


Required: Five years Management of a large Facilities Engineering Organization BS or Equivalent work experience Knowledgeable in Life Safety Code, TJC and all city and state building standards/codes.


Preferred:


10 years experience with a health care organization


POSITION DUTIES:


Participates in the preconstruction planning of all additions or alterations to the utilities systems in the hospital. Acts as the user#s advocate in coordination with the construction agency. Provides the management and oversight for the hospital during installation or exchange of utilities equipment to ensure that the installation meets specifications and code. Develops, implements, and oversees a maintenance and repair program that ensures reliability of the utilities systems in the hospital. Analyzes and develops training requirements to ensure that all employees involved in the provision, maintenance, and repair of the utilities infrastructure are technically qualified to meet quality assurance, local, state, and federal requirements. Maintains currency with governmental codes and JCAHO standards through a program of research and continuing education. Researches and completes all utilities reports, within agency assigned completion dates, required by governmental agencies. Develops and updates the Utilities Management Program to meet JCAHO requirements. Participates in the preparation of annual operational, capital and personnel budgets. Monitors, evaluates and controls appropriate utilization of budgeted FTE#s and operational expenses. Acts as the Organization Utilities Purchasing Agent following organization procurement guidelines. Analyzes utility consumption and develops conservation strategies to minimize consumption and costs. Develops the annual operating program (budget) for purchase and provision of utilities to support the hospital. # Plan, direct, and establish priorities for the overall direction of the department to provide for an environment that is comfortable and hazard-free for the patients, community, and staff. Serve as the facilities department employee#s advocate for employee concerns and working conditions to promote employee understanding, morale and espirit de corps. Responsible for conducting performance evaluations in a timely manner. As the Assistant Director of Revenue Management, you would be responsible for assisting the Director in monitoring, managing and maintaining group and transient inventories to ensure the most effective and efficient balance between demand and availability in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: * Assist in managing and maintaining group and transient inventory controls including, but not limited to, room accommodation and rate inventory controls, roll-in controls, group inventory and cut-off dates, implementation of blackout dates, maintaining demand information and managing sellout strategies in partnership with Front Office * Partner with Reservations to ensure efficient management of daily group inventory to maximize inventory and profitability * Develop, monitor and adjust sales and pricing strategies * Participate in competitive and demand analyses * Assist in forecasting, reviewing all competitive shops, reviewing demand, convention and city event calendars, maintaining data on competitor products and maintaining historical data on events and performance * Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward * Recruit, interview and train team members * Assist in daily department management and participate in and facilitate meetings What are we looking for?
