Director - Respiratory Therapy (Part-Time, Variable Hour)

Utah Valley University is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapy Director! The Director provides competent medical guidance and assistance to the program director and director of clinical education by ensuring that both didactic and supervised clinical instruction meets current practice guidelines. Acts as a liaison with other physicians and healthcare providers with whom the Respiratory program affiliates.

• Provides medical guidance and advice to the program director and director of clinical education.

• Act as a liaison with other Respiratory program affiliates in the medical community such as medical physicans and health care providers.

• Reviews curriculum in concert with the Program Director and others to ensure the accuracy of both didactic and supervised clinical instruction meets current practice guidelines.

Must be a licensed physician with a board certification by ABMS or AOA relevant to respiratory care.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred MD or DO with specialty internal and pulmonary or neonatal medicine.

• Knowledge and experience of medical education and training for a medical doctor.

• Clinical skills commensurate with board certifications in pulmonary and internal medicine.

• Interpersonal skills allow for effective communication with faculty and students in the Respiratory Therapy program.

• Be able to access didactic and clinical curriculum for currency and best practices.
