This role is part of the Enterprise Program & Global Services Governance organization and is responsible for project delivery processes. The delivery processes owned by this role includes both the SVB Enterprise Initiative Framework (EIF) and the Solution Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) process. The EIF governs how initiatives are delivered at the bank both IT and non-IT and includes phases, gates, and key risk controls. The SDLC governs how all IT changes are delivered into SVB's controlled production environment. This position leads the team that is responsible for these process and frameworks, related templates and training, and optimization / automation of the workflows.

This position leads a talented team of professionals responsible for defining and evolving our Enterprise Initiative Framework (EIF) and our Solution Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) Processes as well as our Business Requirements Practice at the bank. This team owns the policies that govern how projects are delivered, how risks are managed, and how benefits are captured.

The focus areas for this role in the near term will be to lead this team to:

  • Optimize our EIF and SDLC processes so that they work together more seamlessly in the service of smooth project delivery

  • Integrate and refine our Business Requirements practice

  • Incorporate Agile into the delivery toolkit

The team is also responsible for:

  • Training, templates, portals

  • Workflow automation

  • Internal testing (work with our Risk partners) of compliance to our processes

  • Support our Risk partners as they interface with Internal Audit, and various external federal and state regulators during regular reviews, demonstrating that we have appropriate controls in place.

Experience & Competencies Required:

  • Proven experience driving and coaching large-scale process reengineering using industry practices such as Lean Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, or DevOps.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Agile Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework, SDLC/Waterfall, ITIL, and PMBOK processes

  • Experience working in a product-centric organization

  • Communication and problem-solving experience - able to clearly and concisely communicate project objectives, resolve technical or process bottlenecks, and establish priorities for cross-functional teams

  • Experience developing, evolving and testing project risk controls as well as process testing

Ability to bring together disparate stakeholders and drive engagement

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 7-10 years of proven project management experience on large scale projects IT & business

  • 5 years of experience in the IT world

  • 5 years of supervisory experience.

The position is responsible for the planning, development, testing, implementation and support of Retail Systems Digital and Loyalty technology. This individual will apply proven communication, problem-solving and leadership skills to guide and assist teams comprised of both business and technical resources to complete projects and support production systems in our company-owned stores in North America. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Retail Systems Digital and Loyalty Technology Strategy and Roadmaps: Develop and maintain the strategy and plans for Retail Systems Digital and Loyalty Technology in conjunction with the Enterprise Architecture team and Enterprise Innovation Team. * Retail Systems Engineering and Testing: Lead the teams and vendors responsible for developing and testing Digital and Loyalty system changes. * Retail Systems Deployment and Support: Lead the teams and vendors responsible for Deployment and Support of Digital and Loyalty system changes. * People Management and Organizational Development: This role will be responsible for talent management of the team and organizational development as the Retail Systems team continues to evolve to meet business requirements. * Financial Management: This role is responsible for the budget and management of the operational and capital budget associated with this function. REQUIREMENTS: * Masters degree in IT field or equivalent combination of education and experience-based learning. MBA is preferred. * 10+ years of leadership experience/knowledge of Retail Systems including 3-5 years of experience with Digital and Loyalty technology * Domain knowledge of POS and payment systems * Positive attitude. * Excellent analytical, organizational and customer service skills * Requires good presentation and communication skills, both oral and written, as well as team participation. * Must be able to interact with management and team in a remote work environment. * Knowledge of application development methodologies and technologies * Extensive experience managing large teams * Process development skills required to drive continuous improvement both within the team and across the broader organization PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Ability to sit for long periods of time. * Ability to operate computer keyboard for data entry. * Ability to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
