HHS is seeking qualified candidates for Director of Environmental Services (Housekeeping)

This position reports to a Regional Vice President; Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Provide leadership to management and housekeeping team for all housekeeping operations.

  • Recruit, interview, hire, and develop team member's performance providing regular and timely assessment, and performs corrective counseling/coaching when necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and industry regulatory agencies.

  • Execute and maintain daily quality control systems.

  • Demonstrate continuous ability to maintain and/or improve customer and patient satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with hospital administration and other departments to provide world class service.

  • Monitor and maintain operating budgets such as payroll, supplies, equipment, and hospital budgets.

  • Create weekly schedules for work force.

  • Participate in hospital committee meetings.


  • College degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 2 plus years managing salaried and hourly employees.

  • Must possess excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels within the organization.

  • Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong customer service orientation with a high sense of urgency.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, service oriented environment.

  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive/confidential information.

  • Effective judgment and decision making ability.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office and web-based software.

  • Must be proactive, self motivated and demonstrate ability to handle multiple projects and changing priorities.

  • Effective collaborative skills; performing comfortably in group settings.

  • Bi-lingual a plus

  • Relocation is required.

Job Summary SCS Engineers is seeking an energetic, forward-thinking environmental Project Director with a strong technical presence in our Boca Raton office to assist in developing our environmental services practice. This person will focus on developing business and personnel, site remediation, contamination clean up, etc. * Provide internal leadership in the growth and direction of the program. * Provide high quality and cost effective professional services. * Provide technical leadership, build and maintain staff morale, and set an example of personal conduct and ethics. * Provide quality control for proposals and reports. * Maintain a chargeability ratio as negotiated in annual personnel goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Project Management * Serve as Project Director and/or reviewing principal on project deliverables with an emphasis on client contact and liaison. Provide technical, contractual, and administrative support to Project Manager(s). Assist in planning and development of budgets for proposals. Emphasize sound engineering/scientific and technical quality, client satisfaction, and project profitability. * Responsible for implementation of the companys Quality Assurance Program. Provide technical review and quality assurance support for projects and proposals. * Provide guidance to Project Manager(s) in dealing with project staff, staffing assignments, and accounting for resources in executing their jobs. Responsible for developing effective project management skills of the technical staff. * Participate in National Partner Program business development and project performance with other company/subsidiary professionals for clients throughout the USA and in other parts of the world. Business Development * Serve as a key business development representative of the firm to provide technical foundations for development of larger long-term projects. Implement marketing programs and actively promote business development skills in all professional staff members commensurate with their experience, interests, and abilities. * Responsible for preparing and implementing a formal business development plan for assigned activities. Monitor business development and strive for cost efficiency as well as long-term positioning in business development execution. * Proposal preparation responsibilities include review of RFPs; preparation of written proposals, qualification packages, and SF 330s; prepare and conduct * interviews with clients for new work; delegate to and supervise others in performing these proposal responsibilities. * Encourage and support preparation and presentation of papers at seminars, conferences, and symposiums. * Establish and maintain appropriate contact with local and regional community. Become active in local professional and trade associations. Encourage office personnel to participate in professional activities for business opportunities and personal growth. Personnel Development * Trains, mentors, and helps develop technical skills of staff and Project Managers. Demonstrates by his/her approach to decision-making and interaction with staff that the company respects the individuality of its employees and has a commitment to the professional and personal development of all staff. * Maintains a personal and professional code of conduct that sets the standard expected of all staff members. * Demonstrates commitment to adherence to safety procedures and use of equipment. * Works to maintain and improve morale through professional development, involvement of employees in decision making, on-the-job training, outside education, and establishment of long-term opportunities for staff members. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science required. * Minimum of 15 years of environmental services experience (in the South Florida area), with proven increased responsibilities required. * Strong oral presentation and written communication skills. * Ability to work cooperatively with others and foster team spirit with all levels of personnel. * Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing required.
